    Goal Weight Setting

I have roughly the same stats as the OP. I was fine with a personal goal because doctor never specifically have me one. when I saw him in Sept he said he would.like me to push for an extra 15 lbs because most tend to put on 10-15 lbs about two years out. he said the first year it's best to get to that range and give me a little bounce room.

    Just a little brag..

have a great time and share your review of the concert! I saw Bill Engvall a clue of weeks ago and he was outstanding! it was nice to sit comfortably in the theater type seats. I am hoping to see the new star wars movie and again to sit in JUST my seat and not flip the arm rest up because I feel squished will be awesome!

@@tracy amanda and @A New KK my first Christmas too but I just made a small plate and ate sweet potato, turkey and a bite of Mac and cheese. no rolls, stuffing or dessert. I blew it on the 24th so I am trying to get the rest of my @$$ back on the wagon. almost 8 months post....trying to be -100 in five days...4lbs. don't think I am going to make it but I am hoping to be really close. this isn't a diet. it's a lifelong commitment to eating better, even with challenges!
  6. @@4MRB4PHOTO yes! I knew it when I ate it. I am up a couple of pounds and I am dreading the next few months...

I got halfway back onto the wagon yesterday. no popcorn puffs....had some wine, ate better just no water and feeling it today. Drama is there and will be for a while. Feeling cold feet

@@MrsSantiago by you will be fine. I have your seat saved here on the losers bench. Do you want to give it up???
  14. @@courtnojudge90 - I didn't know that was common to start with sleeve and revise to bypass with people of a certain size. I knew it was developed after the bypass, but didn't know about the revision surgery for higher BMI patients. If your insurance allows for revisions then go for it. If in doubt get a second opinion. I probably would but that is me. jane

    2 day post op

@@jalleyne1972 - WELCOME to the family! Sounds like you are doing very well post-op. great Job! Keep moving and stay hydrated - the rest will follow. If you eat get as much out off it as you can (Protein first, always). Happy Belated Re-Birthday
  16. "start" with the sleeve? Then why not do the bypass now? Are you okay with surgery again for a bypass? does your insurance cover revisions? second opinion? playing devils advocate here...

    Traveling- 5 weeks out

@@Wildtreegirl81 - Welcome to the family! I would order appetizers, share Entrees and ask for a to go box to put in a refrigerator for later. I think I would stick with your current diet until you get back home or if I introduced anything new it would only be a bite or so. traveling and not feeling well, sucks. I have started taking ziplocks, because we eat out a lot.
  18. @@courtnojudge90 - did he explain medically why he felt that was necessary??? is he doing the bypass for free? Does your insurance cover revisions??? Sorry but I see red flags popping up everywhere unless there are good answers to those questions. jane

    So disappointed :(

@@yolo1981 - You are still early out. I had a easy recovery and could've gone back to work a few days post-op. I have a physical job but everyone recovers differently. We ALL lose weight DIFFERENTLY - don't compare. its hard, I know, I do it too but early out is really a time to not get wrapped up in what everyone else has done or accomplished. Hydrate and get in as much Protein as possible and move. IT will get better. you got this!
  20. @@Brigette looks good. IMHO if you are happy with the results that all that matters. Are you still trying to lose more weight or you maintaining at this point?

    32 vs. 36 sleeve

@@bariatric_lady - I have heard pros and cons. Mine is a 36 which is the "norm" I was told. I have heard of others who have 32s having really tough constriction and therefore have to really eat smaller amounts.
