  1. @@Joshua Torode - I would tell them NOW while you are in the hospital that you feel light headed. Ask about the vitamins as well. I would go chewable at this point (no fizz).
  2. congrats and be prepared the surgery date will be here in NO time
  3. I am fortunate as well to work with people that have been very supportive! A week or so back my dear Hubby made a point of telling me how proud he was of me I am very blessed to have a supportive spouse. I told him that I wouldn't be as successful without him! He has changed his eating habits (lost about 25lbs) and doesn't criticize or judge me. The ONLY we have argued about my surgery was last summer when I was about 3 weeks out and wanted to help do yard work. Florida sun, humid (June), lifting, etc - he flat out told me to go in the house :/

Guys, keep your comments to yourselves

@@mngreeneyes - Thank God nothing happened that night. Always carry your cell phone and have it on and ready to punch send when a situation like that is coming (Ex: walking through a parking lot and seeing some people you feel iffy about). Mace and Pepper spray are also another option -

@@WorkinOnMe - black & white!!! I agree, it enhances your "kickin' curves". Hey, does your friend the dress out????? hahahahaha I don't know if I could wear it, but I wished I could!

    Hair loss

I am about 9 months out and it really kicked into gear when I was losing pretty fast (around 3 months to about 8 months). It has since slowed. So has the weight loss.
  7. I have yo-yo'd as well and after two kids when I was 28 my stomach had no excess. In my early forties I wasn't as lucky. My weight is somewhat evenly distributed so the excess now at almost 53 is the lower belly, under arm flags and some on my upper (really high) thighs. I am contemplating the extra 20 the doctor wants me to push for (150-155) because of that very reason. At my age and height I have weighed 165-170 and been very happy with that...

    Was this your first surgery?

other than my wisdom teeth and a cyst on my finger this was my first "official in the hospital" surgery. I was taken well care of and didn't have a bad experience at all. No regrets!
  9. @@vsgSarah3 - I am not weighing in at this time, you can delete me off the list for now.

Not sure why these comments bother me

@@her1981 - some people speak BEFORE they think...ignore their remarks
  11. @@frankenstein - As I write this you are hopefully in surgery - I wish you ONLY the best and I have your seat ready here <<losers bench>> YOU got this!!! Welcome to the BP family

If this wasn't so pathetic it would be hilarious

@@VSGAnn2014 - my thoughts exactly - hotel room and rental car can also mean a married man working out of town or using a hotel close to home (and close to the wife and 5 babies) and claims car is rental....

    Almost There

@@JennWeb - welcome to the BP family!
  17. @@2goldengirl - I don't think the actual surgery being the cause for the stress, more the big drop of calories that follows the surgery. I understood that to be more of the issue than the actual procedure. My doctor said its part (hair loss) of the side effects and that not everyone loses ALOT of hair. He said if you don't feel a bit tired or lose some hair in the those first few months then you are probably not doing something right. I really didn't feel that tired after I cut my BP meds in half. I have lost hair. It started around the 2-3rd month and slowed about 6 weeks ago and has now started back up. It actually kind of reflects when I was losing the most weight.
  18. @@BrightEyes42 - the pre-op is hard but keep your eye on the prize and go walk, like Dub said, or take a long bath...this will be a thing of the past before you know it

    Hello! Newbie here!

@@lupelane - congrats and good luck. You have a beautiful family and like the OP said, find out WHY someone has a really negative post before you decide. First few weeks out a lot struggle with regret. I had that feeling for a very brief time. make SURE that YOU (not your hubby, kids, mom etc) are good with your decision. It is your body, your tool... jane
  23. This OP is just like a couple of others on here that post some really "interesting" posts - I "ignore" them. I haven't done that yet to this OP, but if I see post after post, that is really out in left field...to the "ignore" pile @Stevehud - good catch!

    The thrill is gone

I am hoping to be feeling the thrill is gone in the next couple of months. I think you have to look for other goals like Jess said....you have both done very well. Dub is a legend...

    Dumb bells vs Kettle bells

I agree with Blerdgirl for the use of both the kettle vs dumbbells.
