  1. @@Elode - you are going to have to change your BP name to Barbie - you are going to have the tiniest waist, and the "DD girls" PLUS.... a FLAT KITTY!!!! The pictures are going to be uber hot no doubt. keep us posted on how PS visit turns out!
  2. @@KindaFamiliar - in the beginning I would hiccup. Then the hiccupping has decreased and now its a very soft {{{burp}}} if I am reaching the point of "full". I rarely get there anymore because I also get a sensation (mental type of - AHA moment) that lets me know S_T_O_P! I politely spit out whatever is in my mouth and quit. I have swallowed twice past that point and don't ever want to go there again...no thanks!

@@ilovevsg~susie - awesome< welcome to the losers bench and Happy Re-Birthday!
  4. @CJ'sready - everyone is different at recovery times. I really had no 'down time' per se. I was home 36 hrs after surgery and was getting up and down, walking, etc. But - - I also am a Mom and I know an 8 & 10 are still going to need to be watched. Are you a single parent? That may make a difference....

    How long?

My Nut finalized her part and forwarded it to insurance company. I received an approval letter within 10 calendar days from BCBS Fed employees. The surgeons office called and scheduled a pre-surgery appointment (for a surgery date & pre-op check-up) that was about 2 weeks later, earliest they had open. I had basically began my somewhat modified (about 90%) pre-op diet at that point. When I had pre-surgery appointment I found out that I could have surgery within about 9 days (normally a 2 week pre-op diet). Because I had started, somewhat, earlier that was an option. I didn't take it because it was not a first-in the OR timeframe. I ended up waiting about another week for a 'first-in' apt for the OR.

4 months of weight watchers already....

@@cookiefierce - I was allowed to use my WW info along with an Endo's info that I had also seen for about 2 years prior. I think it totally depends on your insurance. Call and find out -

  10. This thread is great for the newbies that are recently post dealing with this kind of issue. I think all of us talked to our SO and hoped the "got it". Some do, some don't. Keep talking, use the thread hear as a reason to bring it up - even if the are being angels and not tempting you with food. I am one of the lucky ones, hubby has ate a lot better with me from the start. I never had the "don't eat in front of me conversation" with him or adult son. They ate as usual, I just ate (drank) what I was supposed to and moved on. My soft food started day 3, so I was eating yogurt, scrambled eggs, etc when they were eating KFC, burgers, hotdogs, etc. We were living in a RV for the first 2 weeks post so we were eating 'easy' meals. I did my pre-op/post-op in a 25' RV with food cooked on the grill or quick cook type meals. Maybe that's why it was easier on me. I also staying moving and wouldn't stay around the food
  11. @@cmhueto - I am about the same way - your stats me confused, sorry!
  12. I think whatever you decide you have to be comfortable with, my choice was and still is the sleeve. I had the choice of all 3. Band, sleeve or bypass. I was over 120lbs over weight. I didn't have a lot of the issues others have pre-op but I was headed towards diabetes and that scared me the most. I probably would be at goal by now with the bypass aka the "gold standard" but I didn't like the re-routing of my intestines and malabsorption issue. My "gold standard" is my sleeve

are you taking a PPI? vitamins have never helped me with nausea so I don't know how to reply to that particular statement. if anything I will feel nauseous if I take them on an empty stomach.

    Nasty burping?

@@jmg79 - I burped, or hiccupped, a lot in the beginning when I was approaching FULL. Could that be it? I occasionally hiccup or burp now.
  15. @@cmhueto you were sleeved last June? I am 11 months post - NO REGRETS!
  16. @@Changed2016 - I was sleeved 5/6/15 by Dr Uchal with NE Florida Bariatric. My surgery was uneventful at St Vincents Southside.
  17. I also have the starts of the 'gobbler' neck. That is why I am considering not pushing for another 30lbs, maybe 15. I have wings (flags), a deflated muffin top, and the e-l-o-n-g-a-t-e-d b00bs. gravity sucks!

    Damn you Iron supplement!

@@twinhappy - I add 1/2 a capful of Miralax a couple of times a week to my food/drink to keep things moving. I was told that since my Multivitamin has Iron and I take it twice daily that it was enough for me. My BW was good back in January so I am hoping it stays that way. I am also at the age where I don't have a period and I was told that would possibly add to needing a bit more iron.
  25. @@changingmylife2016 - I don't know how long it will take for you to get your approval, sorry. I just wanted to tell you to hang in there and start mentally prepping, it cant hurt. Weaning yourself off sugar, sodas, caffeine, etc won't hurt either Hoping you get an answer soon! jane
