    Is it just me ?

@@bellabeans - unfortunately that does happen and it sucks. Its like ignoring someone who standing right in front of you its rude.
  2. @@dawnmac3903 - head hunger!!!! you need water! Don't listen the little pizza guy in your head...you will regret it if you do this early out. I gave in about a month out and ate about 2 bites of some thin curst pizza - didn't taste that great ( in my mind it was going to be wonderful) and I was over the urge. You are still pre-op and waayyyy to early to eat something like pizza. go outside, clean, wash the dog....anything but eat pizza.

    New to sight, questions

@@shelbys mom - you may need to weigh in at 35BMI (heavy clothes, socks, jewelry, keys in pockets Like suggested contact your insurance company BEFORE you go and weigh-in somewhere.

    @@sbdooly73 - band? sleeve? by-pass? Just making sure I am answering a pre-sleever. welcome ;D
  7. Hot subject here - Suggestion from me, would be that make sure YOU are okay with your decision to tell or not and proceed from there. Its really nobody's business but yours. You don't have to share everything (surgery info) you can give them the overall plan - you are eating better and change the subject. I kept my decision low key and shared when co-workers started wondering if I was sick (about 2-3months post). I have run into a couple of snarky responses but in general all very supportive. Blessed. Good luck

    New to sight, questions

I cant answer that for sure but I do believe if there are other medical issues the BMI is not the game changer.
  9. Babbs is 100% correct in her reply - IMO. and you do look great, by the way!

How do you guys do it?

early out you may have to eat all day. eat the right foods and if it means 5 small meals then that's ok. are you hungry? I was told not to eat unless I was hungry. the small amount I did eat was broken up into 5 mini meals. I still do it.

  13. I was first patient in OR on Wednesday and went home Thursday evening. I was off that Friday and the next week. I was fine on Monday. I have a pretty physical job and just couldn't lift anything over 10 lbs for the first few weeks. Everyone heals and reacts differently. I would plan for atleast one week and see from there if you are OK to go back. Good luck! Jane
  14. @@thinnerS - Protein alone, didn't cause mine, it was a combination of Iron supplements and the new menu for food in general. I am a veggie eater and I still miss that help with the vegetables. @@KristyVSG - Coffee!!! me too!

    1 week post op.

I was also told no gummies, but Flintstones were OK. I had no issues and great BW. Different rules from different doctors.
  18. @@Sajijoma - I think your WL is VERY impressive and I agree with the others, you need a few more healthy calories (200 at least).

    Type 1 Diabetes

@@beccaslosinit - check under the special Interest forum for diabetics on the main page, you may find some answers there. Good luck!
  22. @@Lucilla - lets see... you don't like the shakes. Doctor suggested Isopure...and YOU have chose to not get them, but you chose to eat the other stuff? This is YOUR life. If you are not going to follow the doctors suggestions then why in the heck would you listen to people on a website? I cooked for others in my house and didn't eat it. The excuse of having small children doesn't work with me either because then we should include the "fur babies" too and I wasn't eating "Blue Wilderness" or Beggin' Strips. You are struggling, I get it, been there....done that. Got the Sleeve to prove it. YOU have to take responsibility for your choices - no one forced you to eat the food. YOU CAN DO THIS Jane

    dead inside...

@@devillynn - seek out professional help like everyone has already said and post here when you need to "talk". The lost of a child isn't something any parent wants to deal with its just wrong on so many levels but unfortunately it happens. the know that the people responsible are out on bail makes it worse. Focus on you and your grand daughter. I lost my dad at 7. I didn't understand why he wasn't there. My parents were both alcoholics and would fight and separate and then get back together, then do it all over again. I thought he just left... (((((((BIG HUG))))))) jane
