No problem. Wish her the best of luck. This app has been pretty helpful! Let me know if you need anything else! And thank you! ????????☺️ -
Looking to be a good friend....

Yes! Magazines, nail polish. Fluids are huge. My husband brought my vitamin water zeros and I was stoked because plain water gets boring. Or even crystal light that she can add to her water. Maybe fun socks.... I've been cold since I came home. Or slippers! Comfy clothes. I'm 3 weeks out and jeans tend to hurt. Yoga or sweat pants are the most comfortable right now. She'll rest a lot so maybe a cute blanket she can drag from room to room. -
Been here three years. Wondering if I have fellow WLS friends around. I'm 3 weeks post op.

I'm exactly 3 weeks post op and am trying driving today. Hopefully all goes well. ????

Looking to be a good friend....

For me, mentally and emotionally being supported was my biggest help. Knowing people were genuinely happy for me and there for me was the best. Maybe help with after care. Swing by and check on them. Surprise them with stuff they may need and want. Encouragement is the best. You're a great friend for even seeking out help!!! They are lucky to have you!! -
Today marks 3 weeks post op. Starting Saturday, I been getting a cramping feeling anytime anything goes into my pouch. Food, water.... Doesn't matter. Normal?

I have been using milk. I use 1% milk in my protein shakes. But also add it to my soups or potatoes to thin them out. I will have to try the almond milk then. I have my post op tomorrow... So I will mention it too! Thanks so much!!!

Anyone have Kaiser Permanente?
DarthVixen replied to Emmyandlisa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have kaiser and also work for them. The process varies by state. I'm in CO and was required to go to 6 weeks of classes, one day a week. My time all together was about 2 months. When I lived in CA and was starting the process.... It was much longer, drawn out process. I was relieved to find the process short and sweet here in CO. -
I had a jawbone and it wouldn't stay on my wrist. I use the Garmin Vivo Smart. I chose this because it tracks EVERYTHING and because it has a move bar. If you are in active for an hour. It vibrates and the screen says "Move!". Once you get up and start moving, the move bar resets. It's a great reminder. Also notifications from your phone show up on it, which is actually pretty cool. I can even control the music on my phone with it. It's small like the Fitbit.

It's been a hit and miss for me. There were days after my surgery that I slept great and some others not so much. My best sleep has been in my husbands recliner.

Last night was the first night since surgery that I slept through the whole night. I tossed a bit to get comfy. But went right back to sleep. No laying there awake and not comfortable or having to get up and walk around. That felt great!

Pregnancy after surgery
DarthVixen replied to TimeToChange1621's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
That's the biggest reason I had my surgery too. My ultimate goal... Be healthy enough to have a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. -
Hey there! My name is Enjoli. I'm 30 years old and had gastric bypass done on October 27. So far I'm down 22 pounds. It's been an up and down recovery. I busted an internal stitch which resulted in me not being able to sit up straight all week. Then a few days ago I woke up covered in hives. Apparently I'm allergic to the hydrocodone they gave me. Hopefully I'm on the mend. Nice to meet you all!

Thank you!!! Excited to figure this app out!
