    Protein

Sounds right about right, then again the only time I'm good at math is when I'm shopping and calculating % off my bill. Does the bottle list 14 ounces as the serving size? Or is the entire container 14 ounces? How many do you drink a day?

    Caffeine

I think they are all horrid. I switched to herbal tea instead. My favorite is a strongly brewed peppermint. Can you do the bananas alone? Would coconut Water help? That commercial was being kind. Half my face was one big scab. It went from about mid lip right up to my eye which was swollen shut. My nose looked like a puppy dog. I had scabs inside my mouth, in my scalp and in my ear. It's always only on one side of the face so it was only my left side. You have to see the eye doctor because if they get into your eye they can cause blindness. I still have residual nerve damage. My left nostril doesn't work and I have trigeminal neuralgia on the left side of my face and dental sensitivity on my teeth on tat side. I wouldn't wish shingles on my worst enemy.

    elgible = Approved?

Typically yes you are approved. My guess is the insurance company used the word eligible because there are some things that need to be completed before you can get a surgery date.
  4. My doc had me taking colace for 30 days post op. I've been regular since 2 days after I was discharged. I have notice since I'm exercising more now that I'm much more regular and it's nice to take 1 less pill these days.
  5. You have to ease into hitting that 600 mark. I struggled those first 2 weeks on full liquids because by the time I finished the Protein drinks or soup, I was too full for Water. Do the best you can but work toward that goal. As for transitioning, to purees and soft foods, check with your doctor. Each one has their own preferences.

    1 month post op

Breads and white carbs were not recommend until after 8 weeks on my program. You are only eating small amounts of foods and those carbs are taking up space where Protein should go. Also breads are harder to break down and can cause "stacking" or that stuck feeling.

    Protein

Since you laid up, perhaps google around for lower calorie Protein. Check you handouts and see if there is a minimum protein requirement per serving that your doctor recommends. My handbook says a typical Protein Drink has between 150-200 calories per 8 ounce serving. Perhaps find one that's closer to 150 calories?

    Sinus issues

Try a nasal spray. Muscinex works well but burns a little. I have a prescription for flonase.

    Fast forward to post-op.....

I'm vain. I just want to shop in regular stores instead playing sleuth online. I mean my shopping hustle is good, but I should not be on a first name basis with the UPS man!

    Social media

I don't post a lot of pictures of myself on social media but every so often if I think my hair or makeup looks cute or if my outfit is really on point, I may post a picture or two. I'll probably continue the same way. Who knows? If I didn't think I was cute I might have had this surgery sooner.

    Caffeine

What does tonic water do for restless leg syndrome?

    Caffeine

I went cold turkey on sodas and coffee 4 years ago. Truth is I was got sick with facial shingles and was so sick all I ate was progresso vegetable Soup and cracker around the clock for 2 mths. I took advantage of that to stop drinking sodas forever. I have gone back to coffee but only have it occasionally. I am no longer dependent on it so no PM headaches for me. I would work on weaning now. The tension headache from caffeine withdrawal is different than the physical pain from the surgery. You also want to be able to get up and start walking ASAP and if you are too doped up post op you may not be able to do that. Start now by cutting your reg coffee with decaf and gradually reducing the real coffee and increasing the decaf. One of the things I think makes it hard for people to drink plain Water is that things soda train our palettes to craves sweets.

    Opinion about coat?

I'm a fashion gal. I have loads of coats so I can probably make it thru this winter without buying a new coat. I have different coats for different occasions. I have the Scandal inspired cape I bought last season on sale last season. I have a down vest for the gym. A 3/4 length dress coat, a red toggle coat that was a bit too snug last season but will probably fit just find this year, and my old standby that I call the dog. It looks like Fozzie Bear. It's brown and shaggy and a size too big, but when it gets cold I can pile on the sweater and I don't freeze one bit. I love fashion, I'm a couponer and I catch sales so I'm rarely in a bind for clothes. If any of your ladies are considering buying a winter coat her are a few sales I saw online. Jessica London - JLVIPFAB 30% off already reduced prices Woman Within - WW16066 50% off and free shipping
  15. I've looked at the USB bracelets and considered buying one, mostly because I can barely fit all my allergies on the back at this point. I've hesitated because I one of my allergies is life threatening. I've been hospitalized in a medically induced coma once and made many trips to the ER for IV Benedryl treatment. What if I am somewhere and the paramedic on site doesn't have access to a computer? I also carry a wallet card, but what paramedic is going to stop and search a wallet instead of immediately providing treatment? This is the bracelet I currently have. I also have a small caduceus charm on it. I just think it looks too much like jewelry so I plan to upgrade soon.

    dumping syndrome

My doctor warned me about "stacking" that sleevers can get. It's when you eat to fast and food sort of stack up in your sleeve. It feels like a big lump or knot that you can swallow. I had it happen to me once. I was eating macadamia nuts that someone brought me back from Hawaii. It wasn't painful, but it was uncomfortable. I couldn't even drink warm Water to get it to go down. I don't know if I ate too fast or if there was too much fat in them for my sleeve to handle. I've just made sure to eat nice and slow and leave the macadamia nuts alone.

    Thoughts on sugar free?

If you are allergic to rag weed they stevia may cause you problems. The stevia plant is in the same plant family.

    Any Philadelphia Sleevers

I went to UPenn. They make you do laps there as well. They didn't nag me because I was already up and walking in recovery. I told them all those fluids in the IV were running me to the bathroom. The first night I think I did nothing but pee! ????????????
  19. Try being vegetarian with food allergies. I spent half my time reading labels. It took forever to find a protein powder without something I was allergic to.

Walk it out. The more you move, the sooner it will pass.
  21. You'll pee those fluid right out! Are you up and walking?

At the 4 week mark and not losing any..

If you are on a regular diet as tolerated you might want to touch base with your doctor or nutritionist. Since you can only eat smaller meals you may not be getting enough nutrients in. That could be why you are tired.
  23. She would have been unfriended and blocked. That's why I don't tell my business to everyone.

    Water intake

It become easier to sip and you can drink a lot longer but so far I don't drink like I used to . I can take bigger sips, but I can chug.
