Congrats I find my date out today???? nervously excited but soooo ready! -
I have Fibromyalgia and have to drop to meds. I've already done that and taking pain meds hardly at all. Trying to handle the pain. Afraid if I don't pain meds won't help. Handling adjustments start my YMCA workouts tomorrow. They say exercise helps with fibromyalgia and post surgery. Getting a jump on my program.

My Dr just text me this evening telling to start on B12 dots no idea what that is but looks like I'll find out!!! Lol

Telling about surgery
Grandma2tweeties replied to kimpossible67's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I totally understand the embarrassment of needing the extra tool almost talked me out it. Like why can I after such drastic measures and yet not have the self discipline needed to succeed without it. Frustrating at least but then it turned pride and determination as we've all said a tool indeed the success still lies on us with this boost of confidence to succeed. I have told close circle now proud of my decision and though I don't think this is by any means an easy way out. I feel it's a desperate plea for that boost of help I need. I don't know that I'll tell everyone or maybe I will who knows. But I will respect why so many may or may not , it's definitely a personal choice to have this surgery and just as personal as to whom you trust to tell! -

Telling about surgery
Grandma2tweeties replied to kimpossible67's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
While I was deciding on my decision to have bariatric surgery, I told no one! Not even my husband my reason was simple I wanted to be sure it was 100% my choice and no ones positive or negative support would affect my decision. Once I was sure told my husband, my children and my parents, best friend and my two sisters. But expressed I'd answer any and all questions but really wanted everyone to understand that my mind is positive of having the sleeve. Once I met with my doctors and got the go ahead. I tell everyone and not because I need praise. But I maintain very positive people in my life and I want to share my excitement with them too. It's been so therapeutic for me offered such great advice. Everyone has their own reasons why or why not they want to share personal choices. I respect all reasons. I do however get the argument from both sides. I know after my struggles I would love to share it all because I know I might help someone make a life changing decision that they may otherwise not make thinking if I can lose that much with diet, exercise and not surgery then why have a surgery that could not only change but save a life!!!! -

Kafallin. I'm also of some of my meds do to a mail order pharmacy mess up. Mr dr told me I'd be extra anxious and shaking and easily annoyed. Kinda of sucks in timing. Might be for the best less meds to have during surgery times will be needed too -

What is the normal time of recovery for the sleeve?
Grandma2tweeties posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am hoping to have surgery in late November or early December, I am a grandma to 8 young grand kids and don't wish to feel miserable during the holidays. Doing without food or on preop liquid diet of no concern to me. However wanting to know if it would be better to wait till after the holidays or about how long after surgery until you feel good enough to be up and about. I am 55 this month and am very eager to move forward to my surgery but not ruin holidays for my grand babies. I am through all things required for insurance approval and have my appointment on November 19th when I know dates will be offered. Please any and all advice welcome and appreciated! -
Bella thanks for the encouragement about the pre diet and the jump start bonus!
-
Kathy why the continued shots? I'm glad you're feeling better now. How are things going with your tolerance to food and ability to eat? How'd your weight loss going for you?

Kathy how are things going for 4 weeks out. Good pain etc
