I'm 3 months out and have been drinking it daily since week 3 without an issue...everyone is different though.
-
@@VSGmary, I was recently at a stall for almost 3 weeks for that same reason, not enough fluids. It started flying off again once I began drinking more water. I'm still not drinking as much as I should, but I went from maybe 16 oz a day to 40, and it made a huge difference!! Give it a try, it may help!

274.8! .2 lbs below challenge weight!! Yay!!!!!!!!
-
I had a month long binge before surgery. Gained 15 lbs! I, too, thought I'd never be able to enjoy food again, especially the first 4-6 weeks...I was miserable... but I was wrong. I can't enjoy the large portions I once had, but I'll enjoy every last bit of my 3-4 oz of food!! Lol the best part is, I don't feel guilty anymore after my meal because there's no way I can eat enough to feel guilty about it!

How do you recover from really tough workouts?
Big_Mama replied to Eli Alexander's topic in Fitness & Exercise
You're still sweating because your body is still in fat burning mode! That was indeed an awesome workout! Replenish as much as you can and get lots of rest. Good job!! I bike 10 miles at the gym and I'm dying! I can't imagine 54! -
Am I doing ok?
Big_Mama replied to backwoodsbarbie209's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
A loss is a loss, any way you look at it, and if you're losing inches, that's definitely awesome! Everyone loses weight differently, and at their own pace. Best of luck!! -
@@pattyr are you allowed chicked/beef/vegetable broth. If so, have some. I was only allowed those along with jello & Popsicles for the first two weeks. Head hunger was getting to me, to the point where I had to cook for my family, serve dinner, then head to the bedroom cuz I just wanted to chew something so bad. One day, I actually took a bite of chicken , chewed it to smithereens, sucked out all the flavor, then spit it out! Lol No bm is kind of normal at first since you're not consuming actually food. I actually had the worst case of constipation the first 4 weeks. It was horrible. try to make sure you get in enough fluids, especially if you're getting in your protein. If not, you will regret it when you're backed up. =/

Could it be possible you're not drinking enough fluids? Not drinking enough can make your metabolism sluggish, as you're not proudly flushing out your system. If you're not drinking enough, up your intake and see if that helps.

I only take 2 mutivitamin pills (AM & PM), which has calcium citrate in it already, 1 b12 and 1 biotin.

Migraines...how did your sleeve affect your migraines?
Big_Mama replied to Goldy6575's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I used to get terrible migraines! At least 2 a week. Took a Topamax daily, Relpax when the migraine was kicking in and an Imitrex injection if I woke up with one, or a few hours after taking a Relpax. I'm happy to report I've only had 2 migraines in the past almost 3 months, and nowhere near as bad as it used to be. -
@@mns112182 you're doing great!! Forget what that Dr's assistant said! A loss is a loss and 40 lbs in 79 days is great! Think about it, a half a pound a day!?! That's awesome! Screw her!!

Starting over 3.5 weeks out.
Big_Mama replied to laurenella82's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Ugh constipation is such a b!+£#!! Smooth move tea works well, but I hate having to wait that long, so usually I take some milk of magnesia to speed things up a bit. I don't feel right if I don't go for too long! Feel better girl! -
What do I take to surgery?!
Big_Mama replied to badbetty's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I brought a boatload of stuff and only used my charger, chapstick, phone, hair brush & tie and sugarfree cough drops. Make sure you have loose, comfy clothes to wear home, as you might be sore and a little swollen, and a small pillow to hold against your stomach for the drive back home. Best of luck to you!! -
Great job! You even look younger! Congratulations!!!! I can't wait to get there!
-
Congrats! Regarding the dry skin, try some coconut or body oil. It really helps. Put it on after a shower, before you dry yourself, then pat dry. As far as the incisions, I would have the Dr check them if I were you. Mine were completely healed on the outside by my 4 week check up. Another girl at the check up had yellowish discharge and she had an infection and had to get some antibiotics for it. Good luck to you both! I think it's awesome you guys are in this together!
