Hi all what is your day of eating look like? Having trouble getting in all my protein.

Hi all I will be 3 weeks post op on wed Jan 28. I am on purée food, but every time I eat I feel terrible. I have tried mashed potatoes, eggs, grits, beans, avacados, and a few other things. I am not even coming close to meeting my protein goals. And i am so sick of being sick!! Can anyone help? Anyone feel this way? When does it get better!!!

Ok so I had my surgery on Jan 7 and still have not pooped!!! I have taken miralax the last 4 days, and it am getting so nervous for when it does come ( if it ever does) I am getting 90 gr of protein, 64oz of water, and all my vitamins. The surgery was a breeze but I developed a Large hematoma that is very painful so I am still taking pain meds. What do I do???? I am normally an every day kinda girl. Is this normal, anyone have any advice?

So I'm am 6 days post op and am having no problems with getting in my protein or water!! I'm dying for a cup of coffe. Not sure I understand why I can't have coffee? Any help on this would be great! Or has anyone had coffee 6 days out?

Hi there, I have surgery wed morning wooohooo!!! My question is what does a day in the life of RNY look like What is your daily drink / food/vitamins!! I'm especially interested in the first two weeks!! I'm headed to costco later today. Also what powder protein do you like to sprinkle on just about everything??

Hi all. On day 3 of my 10 day pre op diet!! So hungry and a little moody so yes I am HANGRY!!! Anyway. Wanted to know if I can have sugar free Popsicles? Dr is out of town for the holidays and I dont classify this as an emergency to call him. Was anyone allowed them?

Hi there!! Well After two denials I was finally approved today for surgery. I am scheduled for jan 7th. I am very interested in any of you that have young kids. I have a two year old lil girl who stays home with me. My husband works full time and I'm so concerned about Not being able to pick her up!! Can anyone tell me how they felt the first day sec day.... ? How long will I need help for? I know what the dr says but I would like to know real life details. Anything can help?

Hi all. Well my dr just called and stated that my surgery was denied stating I don't meet the criteria. My dr is going to appeal upon my behalf, in 2011 I had spine fusion because I have degenerative disc. No trauma just genetic. U haven't had a bit if back pain until gaining 60 lbs and now the pain is back. Has anyone been denied and them approved. My dr seems to think we have a good shot. But I am still nervous and frustrated.

Thanks for the response. It clearly states that degenerative disc is a co morbidity. I have a 2 year old lil girl that is running laps around me. I need the surgery to help give me a push to change my life style forever. The spine fusion in 2011 changed my life forever. I never felt that pain again until recently. I hope I can get a letter of recommendation from my neurosurgeon, and I also have Graves' disease which is a thyroid disorder. Just diagnosed a year ago which was when the weight just piled on!! Do you have any other advise for me!??

Hi there!! My name is tiffany I am 31. Weight hit all time high today of 238!! I have Tricare insurance and just finished meeting with the dietician today. Everything else is done!! About how long does it take to get the approval? Also recovery time. I have a 2 year old little girl. How long will I need help for? This is my first of many post so any info you are willing to share I will take it!!!
