my name is Kelly, and have been on a roller coaster of weight gain and loss since the birth of my first son in 1994. I never really wasn't overweight growing up just pressure to look good and slim. I was and stayed 90 lbs overweight from 2007-2010 and finally did it lost 100 lbs and kept off for 2 years and then came back on plus some. I have been struggling with weight more so a year right before surgery. I gained 60 lbs in 1 year and it didn't seem like it was stopping and that's when I started looking into what was going on. I had my thyroid tested, sugar levels. Thyroid no problem,but found out i am pre-diabetic, this really scared my, and this is when I got real serious about the surgery. I am a very out going person and love having friends and going out shopping, dining, dancing and just being a social butterfly, but have not been that person for a couple years now due to wight gain, guilt and embarrassment of my weight gain. My weight was affecting every aspect of my life, mentally and physically. I became distant from majority of all my friends and on top of that we moved 40 miles away from everyone and I became a hermit pretty much. So when i finally got the ball going on this surgery and got approved I became so excited to take my life back and to actually want to enjoy it and looking forward to becoming the person I once was, and to take control instead of it controlling me for so many years.
