    Regret

I have been feeling regret, too! I am starting to realize that I didn't just like food ( like I thought), I am addicted to food. I can now eat 2-3 bites and then I feel upset because I can't eat more! It is such a change!! I know that it will get better as I adapt. I am really trying to focus on the difference between true hunger and head hunger.
  2. I am only 2 and 1/2 weeks post op so a newby but I just can't fathom how anyone can have a stall! I know it happens, I know it will happen to me very soon ( based on the whole 3 week curse)! If we only take in 500 calories....how do we have a stall?

How is a stall even possible?

Makes much more sense now!! Thanks for the informative responses!

How is a stall even possible?

Pretty good explanation!! It is still odd that one can intake such a small amount of calories and still have a stall!! Here's hoping I don't have one!

    No energy !

How much protein are you getting in? Water? For me, the more I do, the more I feel like I CAN do. In moderation, of course!

Surgery Dec12. What should I know?

The best advice I can give is that day 2 and 3 are the worst! Of course everyone is different but for me, I was not a happy camper. By day 4 I started to feel a bit better every day! I am now 10 days out, doing so much more, looking forward to going back to work on Monday, and learning to adapt to the new me. If, in the beginning, you feel a bit hopeless, just know it will pass! Good luck!
  10. I do the same thing a few times a day, I go to Bariatricpal.com, click on the blue new content button, and read many, many postings! I feel as if I am beginning to know so many "friends"! I think it is so interesting how many times I have a specific question in my head and someone else has recently asked the same question. It is so nice to read about all the similarities AND differences we have in our procedures ( both pre-op and post-op). Thanks!!

    Omg so much pain

The gas pain was bad for a day but that went away the more I moved around! The incision pains were never terrible. What has been the worst is the feeling when actually eating and drinking. My healing stomach hurt so bad the first few days and everything tasted terrible. I honestly started to have an anxiety attack that "I broke myself" by doing this surgery. And I am one of the lucky ones...absolutely no complications! Every single day it has been a little better than thee last! Hang in there, I know I am!
  12. I mentioned it at my dr. Office yesterday because I am having the same pain. I was told that it is just the stomach. Since it is healing, it hurts. I was told to drink water that is tenpin, not ice cold. I am now 4 days out and it is starting to feel better.

    Post op sucks!

Surgery was in the 17th. By last night i was panicking about what I did to myself! Hurts to drink, water tastes terrible, and the burly hiccups....ouch! I think I feel better today, though...

Check in: Week of Nov 17th Sleevers!

I am on the 17th! I just can't believe it is only 6 days away. I have been sooo hungry on this pre-op diet, but have lost 7 lbs already!! I have been cleaning and getting things ready for my hospital stay and afterwards.

    Telling about surgery

I, too, have become very open about my decision. I originally thought that I was going to keep my decision to my immediate family but thinking of ways to explain my 2 week absence from work and then eventual weight loss was weighing (pardon the pun) on me. I am such an open, honest person that is was just easier for me. So far everyone has been supportive. I am sure some don't agree but they have kept those opinions to themselves. I truly hope that I am so successful that I can be a mentor to friends who might want to go this route.
