  1. Too funny! Good thing you were at home! I recently saw a woman walk right out of her skirt on the way into the mall. She got VERY red but then just said "that's why I'm here!"

How do I update my weight?

This is what I do too, and it has been updating my ticker as well.
  5. I'll spare you a ton of the details since this is your post, but my family/parents were not the best role models when it came to healthy eating either. And sometimes, when I'm having a pity-party type of day, I will bring blame back on them for passing along some of those habits. But, now I'm an adult and I know what needs to be done, and all blame falls back on my shoulders for getting myself to where I am today. Talk to your mom. Air everything out. And maybe, now that she's post-surgery and more health-conscious too, you'll have someone who understands everything you're going through and can help you in your journey as well. And if she can't be supportive, find someone else you can rely on. And one final note, be aware of where you're posting. I haven't seen size 16 in many years, and when I get there I'm going to feel elated, wonderful, and successful; not "gross."
  6. Hi everyone! I'm hoping to be a June sleever as well, but it may be July depending on how long the insurance takes to approve. My 6th and last weigh-in through the physician-supervised program is May 6, and I've already gotten everything else checked off the list, so they'll submit right after updating that final weight. I met my surgeon this week and I'm so excited to move forward! I'm usually a pretty patient person but these last few months seem like they've been dragging...
  7. Whoops! This is not where I meant to post. I'll try to figure out how to remove. But I'm glad to hear you're doing well, Ashley!
  8. You look fantastic! And I know it's been said but it needs to be repeated: your arms are amazing!
  9. You look wonderful! Congrats on your success.

9 Months Later... Before and "After"

Congrats! You look amazing, and younger!
  11. Well done! You look fantastic!
  12. I downloaded The BIG Book on the Gastric Sleeve: Everything You Need To Know To Lose Weight and Live Well with the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy and used Promo Code #20. Some of the others had already been redeemed so I skipped to the bottom. Thanks so much!
  13. You look great! Congrats on everything you've accomplished. I can't wait until I'm "overweight!"
  14. Congrats! You're doing an excellent job!

    ONEderland!

    Congrats! That's a big milestone!
  16. I've enjoyed following your journey so far, and can't wait to hear about what it's like on the other side. Good luck tomorrow!
  17. Congrats! You look great, and you're an inspiration to someone who's just starting the process.
  18. I am 5'5" and my surgeon's goal is 150, but in my dream world I would end up between 135-140. It seems crazy, given that I was 13 years old the last time I was in the 150's!
  19. I'm glad I came across this topic. I haven't had my surgery yet, and my migraines aren't as frequent as many of yours (8-10 per year), but they're debilitating and I hate using my personal/vacation days in bed with the lights out! I hope my sleeve/weight loss will reduce the number of headaches like it has for many of you.
  20. I'm still fulfilling all my pre-op insurance requirements so I'm not in the same boat as you are yet, but it seems like you're bound to be successful with that type of outlook. Good luck to you!
