I was sleeved on november 18th. A friend of mine had hers done over a year ago and says she never feels hungry. However I think I still feel hunger pains. I was wondering what's common?

I am going back to work today after being sleeved on the 18th. I haven't taken any pain meds since the Saturday following surgery, and was pain free a day or two after staples removed. Now, though, I have had a discomfort-level pain on my left side the last couple days, about where the stomach was taken out. I hope it turns out to be nothing but getting worried.

Hi guys, I had the sleeve yesterday and was discharged today. No matter what it is, when I swallow I get pain in my chest. This is true if I drink water or the liquid pain medicine so it takes me forever to down 15 ml of medicine. I haven't felt hungry but I am worried that this pain is what I will feel the rest of my life.

I am getting my staples out today. The skin has been itching like crazy with the healing and as a natural picker at anything abnormal with my skin it has been a challenge not to rip the staples out myself. Funny that everyone I have talked to says they don't remember staples.

I am same with Brn2Blossom. I was sleeved on the 18th and on the first night home I woke up close to every 4 hours when I take my medicine. Tonight I woke up just 2 hours later and stomach is making a lot of noise. I showered during the day when my mother was here and had no issues. I am able to drink my pain meds quicker and day 2 at home I was able to take in fluids at a regular pace. I don't know how much I have taken in yet but I know it was more than the day I came home. I never had actual staples in my body like this and it feels weird. I wonder why they chose staples over being stitched up...

Mines in the morning. Looking at the weather I am thinking "WTH?!" It will be 10 degrees when I leave the house!

Hi, I live in the kc area. I am having surgery Tuesday and was wondering about support groups. The times of the support group through the Bariatric Center do not work well with my schedule right now. With the cold weather upon us, it would be difficult to find a place indoors until maybe after the first of the year. I may consider being leader once I review what is necessary to be one for this group.

Today was supposed to be my day of enjoyment before I start the preop diet. Instead I had a migraine all day and got physically sick. ..

I keep getting the pre surgery jitters and I haven't even started the liquid diet yet. I focus instead on all the things I want to do such as learning to ride a bike in the spring time, attend a baseball game without worrying about how uncomfortable I would be sitting, have the energy to *do* things again. I know I can do it. I lost 70 pounds on weight watchers and was able to keep it off for about 2 years. I have made a lot of healthy life choices such as giving up soda. My main weakness was not being able to stop after a reasonable plate at buffets and with food I love. This is a tool to help me with that.

That's why I don't watch tv and anything I do watch I tivo it to skip commercials. I had my nutrition class on monday and was able to sample their Protein drink. Labs completed Tuesday along with psychologist meeting. Wasn't real impressed with him. I wrote out a sample schedule based on current work schedule for long term success, but keep fretting over the pre-op liquid schedule. I keep second guessing myself over the success of this long term.

The psychologist said it could come back.

I am scheduled for November 18th. I just started a new job after the surgery was scheduled and I am very nervous about getting the time off. I am a self pay and I am afraid of failing. I met with the psychologist this morning and I told him how I lost about 75 lbs on Weight Watchers but gained it all back after an environmental change.
