@@shannpann You have to find a good Reflexologist and make an appointment and tell them about the constipation, they will work on your feet/hands and it somehow "releases" everything and the intestines start moving everything along like it is supposed to work!! Best to Google to find one in your area.
-
I tried Reflexology and it helped within 20 minutes! Strange but it worked!!
-
Definitely sounds like stress and possibly the anaesthetic still in your body , I'm sure it's going to start coming down soon and you will be changing your bonus and taking less Insulin ????
-
I had major constipation after my surgery and My surgeon suggested Reflexology, I don't believe in alternative medicine but was in such a bad way I tried it, and it WORKED! Within 20 minutes ???? , you have to try it to believe it works wonders for constipation!!

Don't freak out ????, it's normal! I had bypass 12 Jan and have lost 33 pounds, so far, I'm also having a stall (nearly 2 weeks) keep doing what your doing!!
-
I'm a type 1 Diabetic with an Insulin pump, I had bypass in January and am really pleased with the results so far have lost 33 pounds, I will always be a diabetic on Insulin that never goes away , but I take half the amount I did previously and stopped taking Metformin. My blood sugar levels have never been so good!! When I do have low blood sugars I sip Apple juice slowly and I don't get any dumping, I have also tried dextrose that works fine, as it dissolves in my mouth, good luck with your decision ????

Hi, I'm also Type 1 diabetic on an Insulin pump, have been diabetic for over 25 years and I had RNY Gastric by pass 12 January 2015. I'm doing well, I have lost so far 33 pounds! I had the same worries as you about having hypos after the operation. I used small Apple juice cartons (without the straws) and also the chewable dextrose sweets that you melt in the mouth, they both didn't cause any problems, BUT I had to sip the apple J very slowly so it took time for my blood sugar levels to rise! My HBA1c is so much better now (2 months later) must be because I don't many carbs. My Basal changed dramatically straight after the operation, I take half the amount of Insulin then I did before. I will always be an Insulin dependant diabetic, don't kid yourself that it will magically disappear ! It only disappears for Type 2's. Am here for you if you have any questions, am happy to help ????

What’s Your Relationship with Caffeine?
Dyros replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I gave up coffee before my surgery and haven't had one since !! ( 6 weeks post op) I just don't want to fall back into the same habits I had, And I don't want to eat/drink anything unhealthy (used to have 2 sweeteners in every coffee) -
I'm drinking so much water now I don't understand how I'm going to fast 25 hours without getting dehydrated?
-
I don't like any protein drinks either, Why not try getting the protein from original sources: Fish, Chicken, Cheese, soya etc, I pureed chicken and vegetables in the early stages, was delicious!
-
How did you fast without getting dehydrated?

I also had my surgery 12 Jan and have been sleeping on my side for the last couple of days (with extra cushions) but am suffering with Insomnia too!
-
I still feel like it's swollen inside too! Am on puréed now and can't stand anything sweet, so not getting enough protein in! Enjoying puréed carrots and Humus now, mix veg purée with cream cheese and puréed Tuna with soft cheese

-
The only way your allowed to drink it is to let ALL the gas/bubbles out of it, and drink it Flat but cold so you get the same taste!!
-
I'm the same as you! Haven't lost yet, but I know my body wants to keep hold of its fat!! I'm just being patient it has to happen right? I'm not getting enough protein but getting my 8 cups of water/soup a day ! Walking 20 mins a day

Three week stall one week after surgery?
Dyros replied to Ivanova8's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm having a lot of clear soup, I find it easier to get my 8 cups of water that way, when they say water does that mean only clear water??? I had my op on 2 Jan and only lost a couple of pounds, I know my body is holding not it's fat with a tight grip, I'm not weighing myself everyday and being patient for the drop!! -
