  1. It does always seem that meat is pushed, but not with my doctor. In fact, he is vegan, so was really supportive of my diet. There are lots of ways to get protein, but to be sure I am getting enough, I do rely on protein shakes. I use water as a mixer, so I get protein and hydration at the same time. I love salads, but two months in, I still do not feel ready to digest my normal salads. I place a scoop of powdered greens in my morning smoothie.

    Smooth move tea help

I had never been constipated as badly as I was during week 3 post-op. Since then, I throw 3 prunes into a daily protein smoothie.... No problems at all. Prune juice should work the same. Glad you didn't have to sleep in the bathtub! LOL

    Nausea and Disgusted by Food

I found that I couldn't stomach the milk in protein shakes post sleeve. I tried 1%, non-fat, and even Lactaid (thinking I had become lactose intolerant). What worked for me was to mix my protein powder with water. Good luck with it. I think just trying different things should help.
  4. Watch the fruit if you are putting it in all your smoothies. Lots of sugar. Hang in there!

    Any Colorado sleevers?

Hi all! I was recently sleeved (04Nov14) at Parker Adventist and live in Parker, CO. I just got past the post 2-week mark and can do puréed foods! Yea! All is going well, so far!

    What are you excited for?

I was sleeved Nov 4th, and all is well! Pain is almost gone now on the 9th. I am looking forward to work outs with my family, shopping for clothes (has NOT been fun for the past 15-20 years!!!), and getting ME back! Tired of looks of pity and disgust from strangers. Ready for the hard work ahead.... And the future me....!!!! Doing it so I can be healthy, be an inspiration to my family (hubby and son also overweight), and play with my Grandkids someday!
