    So many crazy men

@gowalking@CowgirlJane - I don't get any guy who thinks being chivalrous is bad thing. I like making people feel special. And it's so easy to get props for killing spiders, why would you get stupid lazy? I've been chastised by a few women who told me "they were more than capable of opening their own door." I'd just pull out my best southern accent "I know you can, but you can take a boy out of the south, but you can't take the south out of the boy." That usually calms them down since there is an anti-southern bias. (While I graduated from East Carolina University (home of the Pirates), I have never really had a southern accent since I moved there from San Diego...but it's nice being able to pull one out when you need it).

@@BethinPA - Just goes to show you that despite all of our scheming and plotting, things sometimes just work out. And that seems to be the odd constant in my occasional success in dating. The universe seems to reward my efforts, but often in unexpected ways.

Congrats, see you on the other side...here is some good advise on packing: http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/350741-hospital-bag/ GasX strips are a must. Pain wasn't bad for me at all, up and walking as soon as my head cleared. When the drain was gone, so was my need for pain meds. Your experience may vary.

    I need to vent/complain....

@@her1981 - Well 50 pounds is great. Be thankful, slower means better chance of avoiding loose skin. Are you working out? If so work with the nut to make sure your body isn't in a "fat preservation/starvation" mode. Sometimes a calorie increase actually pumps up weight loss. Track and test it. As to your friend...they will reap the results of eating crap. They will feel like crap. Ultimately if they lose weight, they will look like crap. Don't compare your weight loss to others. Dangerous thing to do.

  11. The protein calculation of 100g is a rule of thumb. Seems to be the minimum, below that for long and I notice hair loss. I use myfitnesspal.com to track calories, carbs and protein. Its free and easy to use. I also use it to track workouts. It is possible to get in the 100g if you work at it. I use the shakes on heavy workout days and following a long run. I also used Isopure clear liquid (try it at GNC) which is great to me, 40g per bottle. And nothing to be ashamed of. If the nutritionist was a twit, try another. I pay mine $100 every two-three months to go over my food diary/exercise diary, look over the blood work and make recommendations. Yep, she's out of network, but the best I could find in OKC.

@@WoodenHearts - One word, "kegels" There is a tendency to have lose skin all over, minimize it same as you would everywhere else, can't spot reduce, but they will do a mommy make over plastic surgery if the skin is too excessive.
  15. @@Babbs - dead on right, plus when you don't get enough of the right stuff you really feel like crap. No energy, can't think straight and you get really moody. You get about 100g of Protein in and that's not a problem. (well at least for me, your experience may vary).
  16. @@Ghada - The Protein fixation we all have is an important mantra. I have seen the people who have lost many pounds because of the restriction in intake, but they look like sacks of skin. Why? They lost their muscle because they were using their limited space to eat crackers and chips. You need the protein to maintain you muscle, and actually help have healthier skin. As you start exercising more, it becomes even more important. Please do yourself a favor and really take some time and look up post-surgery diet info. I've seen too many causalities who didn't. BTW, thanks for having the guts to ask such a question at a place where you could have gotten flamed on the boards. If you notice, you didn't. There is occasionally some tough love, but this is a great place to learn stuff and be encouraged.

@RetroGirl I'm from Warsaw, for some reason we're not experiencing the British plague here. I guess vomiting and pissing in public is only fun in Cracow. From what I understand, there is some cheap flight from London to Cracow and it's much cheaper to drink there than the pubs in London, plus the beer is warm in England, so I understand why people would want to leave. But that being said, the Brits that show up are a**holes

@@dianely - Why do they care? I quit tobacco years ago, but still vape, so I use nicotine. What are they testing for? I understand why they don't want to risk tobacco users (it irritates the stomach and makes healing more difficult), but nicotine itself is a relatively benign substance.

    Single guys?

@@kelseynicole20 - With whole internet world strange niche perversions keep popping up, there probably are people who really like loose skin...so if anyone is "really out there" and edgy, I'd be curious to see if there is a market. sort of. The problem with dating sites is numbers and traffic. It takes a big bunch of people to make it viable. Maybe personal ads on this site might be a better way to go. I'd start, but I'm starting to get serious about someone at the moment.
