Well I'm 8 months out of surgery... The past 3 months I had gained 9 pounds of the 55 I had lost back.. 2 weeks ago I realized what I was doing and quickly made a change. It have successfully lost that 9 pounds again and I am going to continue on the right path. Anyone else do this? I'm ashamed of myself, but still love me. Lol I don't know what I was thinking. I would rather have 2 cookies for breakfast that 2 eggs... I still do not over eat. Just made terrible choices of what to eat!! Still remained soda free. So that is a plus. Anyways kicked it in high gear at the gym. I still think I can get the last 45 pounds off by Nov. to hit my onderland by my 1yr sleevaversary. I hope everyone is doing great, and hope to be back on for support often over the next few months!! my son did start hitting the gym with me to provide entertainment ☺️

Fell HARD off the wagon ????

Oh no!! Not me. I still want to live ❤️ just want to live healthier. I certainly don't think icecream or a doughnut is something to lose sleep over... Maybe a whole dozen. Or a 1/2 gallon of icecream. But if I don't have something every once in a while I get depressed. So I am fine with a little here and there. My main problem was I quit everything. Quit eating right, not exercising at all... And I am a clothing designer/seamstress. So I SIT at home for work. I HAVE to make gym time. Or I get Zero exercise. Easy to gain that way ???? But I sure LOVE my job/business ???? So making gym time it is!! -

Thank you!!! I am officially back on track and down 5 more pounds!! A whopping 60 down now!! 40 more to go by Nov. I can do this!!! The gym is finally feeling routine rather than a chore. And eating right is actually easier that my stomach is completely healed!! Love that I can come here for the extra push I need ❤️ -

And Thx! My best friend is very fit and is a personal trainer. He is very supportive and tries his best to get me to the gym consistently. He was giving me a hard time because I was talking of going and getting icecream instead of fighting the gym crowd (I was kidding) saying I was the only person he knew that thought of bad foods while at the gym... I said um I'm a fat girl I think of bad food all the time how do u think I got this way! Lol it is definitely one of the hardest things I have ever had to overcome in my entire life. And I was a 15 year old mom... Who graduated AND I have 2 nursing degrees AND a successful children's clothing business.... And my weight struggle trumps it all!! -

I was able to eat and tolerate salad. I would only eat 2-3 bites because U must focus on ur protein. -

When are the "typical" stalls?
kikicoates78 replied to Quest4TheNewMe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I stalled at 3 weeks. And have been in almost a month long stall at 3.5-4.5 months. Finally saw a pound drop this morning putting me down 53 pounds since Oct 23rd. Hoping the scale moves quite a bit over the next week! -
We all lose differently ☺️ I was sleeved Oct 23. So in 4+ months out. Only down a total of 53 pounds now. Another lady (who weighed less than I) had surgery same week and she is down 25 more pounds than me! I have stalled almost a month. But U just keep at it. I'm still thrilled with the loss I have had and keep pushing for small 5 pound goals. So 2 more I will celebrate! Then push another 5 pound goal! Just keep pushing forward. That's all we can do!

I would starve if that's all I ate!!! Lol I am 4.5 months out and only down 53 pounds. But I eat way more than U... I am finally up to 800 cal a day and not feeling malnourished. Just getting back into the gym tho b/c I needed to drop 50 pounds for my knees. Hoping it will start coming off a little quicker! You look amazing! Keep it up!! -
2 years b4 and after...where's my motivation
kikicoates78 replied to felyn001's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Some insurances do. Not all. You would have to contact them. -
Who else has been through this and conquered it?
kikicoates78 replied to KK66's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I haven't "gained" any. But I am 4.5 months out and haven't lost any for a month. I too got frustrated it's been cold... I've made comfort food stuck in the house! So I put myself back in check this week and actually lost a pound. Now the weather has turned I'm back on track again. You can do it. Just get focused!!! -

Anyone else have a SW OF 280 lbs and want to share their success story?
kikicoates78 replied to jerseygrl6289's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
The gas will subside only when u push it out. Walk walk walk. It will move. The first couple weeks are rough. I didn't hurt. Nor was I sick throwing up. I just felt really weak. Mal nourished. I struggled (still struggle) with getting my fluids and protein in. I am 4 months out and I'm down 53 pounds. I have been in a stall for a few weeks ???? but I'm not worried I know it will start moving again. I started my surgery at 275. Don't worry with your numbers the 1st couple months. You will go nuts. I am just now to the point where I stopped weighing EVERYDAY. BC it drove me crazy not to. I feel better tho and that's the main thing. From a size 22 to a 16. Still lots to go. But just now picking up the exercise routine. As I needed to lose 50 pounds 1st to relieve some stress on my knees. Good luck to U and can't wait to see your progress! -
Serious question, is eating bad sometimes good?
kikicoates78 posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I know it sounds crazy but this has been such a roller coaster for me and Although I love the ride... I'm trying to figure out rhyme or reason. 4 months out and I'm still confused! AND I am NOT complaining before someone puts a snide remark about You've lost how much and your complaining.... I will lose weight 5-8 pounds in a week then I will stall for at lease 2. Sometimes even gaining a pound. Then I lose 5-8 more then yet another stall. I'm assuming it's just my bodies way of weight loss... But I eat healthy I cut all sugar and eat moderate heathy carbs. I hit at least 7-800 calories a day. I don't work out hard but I do my standard Cardio exercise. I track every calorie, push my Protein and do my best to get my Water in (I still struggle there) I am down 50 pounds so I am THRILLED with my results so far. I'm just confused. This past week I was so frustrated and had a bad week... I said F it I am not following a diet this week.... I had pizza and snickers ice cream bars and even my favorite cheeses cake! I felt so guilty after 3 days of eating complete crap I was afraid to even look at the scale. Lol BUT I got on and my mouth dropped... How in the world did I lose 5 pounds in 3 days of me eating CRAP!!! lol I'm so confused. No I will not continue to eat poorly. But I wonder if it's good to shake your body up a bit after stalling and keeping everything the same for a while? Anyone else lose in weird ways? -
I had an "aha" moment finally (with pics)

You look fantastic! Keep up the good work! -
I would be starving if I only ate 4oz of yogurt! I was sleeved in Oct. down 47-48 pounds. I take 7-800 calories in daily. I still get hungry! I just try to pick the best options at meal time. Good luck to u!
