I have just started my journey and have met with my surgeon once.   I have to do an insurance mandated diet and hope to have the gastric sleeve surgery in April of 2015.   I am 5'3" and weigh 217 pounds.   I think they said my BMI was 38... not quite at the 40 mark but with my high blood pressure and stuff, I hope the insurance covers it.   I look forward to talking to those of you that have had the gastric sleeve and that plan to have it.   I am currently reading the Big Book on the Gastric Sleeve which is where I found the link to this website.
