My gosh I can't believe it's been 9 years. I'm at 185 which is more than I really want to weigh. I have a terrible issue with reflux and am afraid to make any big changes. I need to go see the doctor but my doctor no longer practices due to health issues.

I can't believe that next week will be my 5 year anniversary! I'm still hanging at about 152 or so. I made the decision to not let myself get over 160. At 5'7" that is a good weight for me. I now sometime forget that I had lapband surgery. It seems like I have always been this weight. It's funny I have so many people who didn't know me when I weighted more. They can't believe that I was ever that heavy. When someone calls me a, " Skinny Thing" I want to laugh.

I'm so glad to see people posting here. I have done pretty good. I weighed 269 the day of surgery. Today I weigh 148. I have decided this is a frat weight for me. I got down to 124 but at 5'7" that was too little for me. I had Fluid taken out and went up to 180!!! I about died. That's not to mention I had no clothes to wear. LOL. I made Lifetime at WW about three years ago. I need to go back though. When I was student teaching I just forgot to go LOL I have had some issues with refluxe and heartburn but not bad enough to do anything. I love my band and will put up with any problems I may have. The band changed my life. It's so funny to tell people how much I used to weigh and to be referred to as "a little bitty thing.". Wendy Hall

Hey!!! I was shocked:eek: when I signed in and realized I hadn't signed in since December. I have stopped by and read though. I'm at 147. I have been down to 124 but it was entirely too low for me at 5'7". I had some Fluid removed and that helped. I had a total knee replacement two weeks ago. I can't imagine trying that weighing 270lbs. I've done really well although I had a big set back this past weekend. I woke up Friday running a fever of 103.8. I ended up spending the weekend in the hospital. After a million test they determined that even though my lungs sounded good I had aspirated into my lungs at some point. I had been having major problems with reflux at night. It all started with a case of the flu several months ago. My surgery with all the meds just escalated the problem. I was severely dehydrated on Friday. It took 8 bags of saline, a bag of magnesum, 3 bags of potassium to get me back to normal. Two hospital stays in less than two weeks is not fun. Right now I'm on a 48 hour liquid diet, then 24 hours of soft foods. Hopefully this will settle my pouch down and I will not need to have an unfill. I have an appointment with my doctor for next Wed but will cancel if I feel good. :confused: Glad to see others are here. I had an extremely busy semester, but will be doing my stuent teaching in the fall semester. My first day in the classroom is Aug. 23. I graduate with my second degree in December. This one is in Early Childhood Education. I will be certified to teach pre-k through third grade. I'm so excited to be almost finished.

Way to go girl!! 80 lbs is nothing to sneeze at!! Can you believe it's been 2 years???

Sorry I have been MIA. This semester has been about to kill me. I have been swamped. Fortunately I'm down to just a few random assignments and I will be on break. I have lost 20 lbs since I checked in last!! It's funny I didn't realize how thin I was until I saw some pictures that my professor had take. Wow!! I'm tiny. LOL Not a discription I would have used two years ago. :thumbup: I hope everyone is doing well.

You know I'm scared to death of having any Fluid removed from my band. I'm afraid I would gain weight very quickly. I'm just hanging out with the same fill that I had in December. I'm hanging at in the 140s which is good. I was on vacation for the past 2 plus weeks so that has meant more junk foods than normal. On the upside I'm down to a size 6 in pants which just floors me. I wore a 26/28 when I started this whole journey. When I had surgery I was in a 22/24. Glad to see more people back here. I was beginning to feel a little lonely.
