Insurance and surgeon have conflicting requirments!

I feel like I get good news followed by bad news through out this journey! Called my insurance to check on my.max out of pocket I was expecting it to be several thousand cane out to $404. Great but when going over requirements for surgery I was told I have to have 6 months of nutrition and structured excersise program. My dr. Office says no I don't need any. I'm so frustrated:( -

Thank you for responding!! My surgery date is nov 18!!! Ive completed everything just waiting on insurance approval. My husband works for nasa and they are letting him work from home for 2 weeks but after that I'm not sure what to do. I'm having a hiatal hernia repair done. Wondering if that will be painful? -
I'm exactly 5ft, I'm getting my sleeve nov 18. I've completed everything. Start my pre op diet Tuesday and waiting on insurance approval!!! I currently weigh 240. Would love to get back down to 120!

Thankfully my husband took it well. I'm going to call my dr. Office on Monday and see about the cost. I reached my deductible last month and had my EGD done this month so I'm hoping that will help lower the out of pocket

I guess I'm not very well educated about health insurance. I've met my $1,000 deductible, my max out of pocket is $4,500. So I'm assuming ill need to come up with $3,500 before my surgery in 2.5 weeks!!! My dr. Office hasn't brought any of this up!!!
