I just got approved by my insurance!!!! After 8 months and going through 3 insurance who at the beginning of the year dropped all bariatric coverage. I picked up new insurance and was approved in 4 days!!! Ahhh everything just became so real!!

My psych was 1500 with 3 tests. And each of my nutrition visits are 358. Thankfully my insurance paid for my psych evaluation and the majority of my nutritional vists

I have a 30 lb 2 year old. We have been saving so we can send him to daycare for 2 weeks full day since I won't be able to get him in and out of his crib. My husband is taking off 2 weeks

I'm 5 ft 27 years old and have been over weight for 9 years. My dr and I have set a goal of 120. I think I would be very happy at that weight. When I was in high school I was at 98 lbs I did competitive cheer and never wanted to eat. So I never want to get that thin again

Not sure what it's called I call it my pancake flap lol. But the part of your tummy that kind of hangs a little. Does that go away after loosing weight. I had my son 2 years ago and I hate how it looks and when I wear jeans. I'm only 27 do I'm praying my age will help my skin. Anyone with knowledge on this ?

I'm terrified to do the sleep study in the center. I have very severe ptsd at night to the point I literally stay awake until I pass out which also doesn't help with insomnia. I was sexual abused mainly at night so I am very freaked out knowing someone is watching me and can come into the room if I fall asleep. My husband will have to stay at home with our 2 year old abs we have no friends or family near us to help us watch him that night. Hello what can I do!!

Thank you so much for your support. I think I'm going to really push for the at home study. My surgeon is requiring it. I don't think I actually need it for insurance since my bmi is at 44. I know I have sleep apnea as when I was in the hospital they had me sleep with oxygen because I would stop breathing

I just called my center and they only have male technicians. I have only had Female doctors. Even the night I had my son 2 years ago the on call obgyn was male but I had a huge anxiety attack they called in a female ob to do my emergency c section.

My dr. Set my goal weight at 115-120. I'm only 5 ft though. Growing up all of high school I was 98 lbs but looking at those pictures I look unhealthy.

Ahhh so my insurance just switched over to bibs of TX federal. I called today abs said my husband's employer has an exclusion to bariatric surgery !!!! I've been doing everything for 6 months all of my apts, Egd, Nutritional counseling, physic evaluation. Thousands of dollars out of pocket down the drain. What do I do now!!!!

Mexico would be so much cheaper. I've discussed it with my husband and he says no. He doesn't trust mexico. We live about 45 min from the port of entry and there are so many kidnappings and murders happening here from the drug cartel, so we tend to not want to be in Mexico. It's so much more of a hassle and expense going this route and having to deal with daycares. And the fact that I have chronic bad back pain I feel like no one understands how much pain I'm in everyday and don't know how long I'll actually be able to work

I'm on my husband's federal plan but it has exclusions for everything weightloss related. So I'm going to have him drop me and get bcbc of new Mexico. From what I understand NM is one of the 22 states to cover all weightloss but I'm a stay at home mom of a 2 year old so I'm scrambling trying to find a job to pay for this new insurance

My dr. Doesn't give that option. He said either self pay or find different insurance. So I'm quickly trying to find a job with insurance or enough to cover for bcbs of new Mexico insurance

I'm actually in new Mexico about 30 min from El paso tx. I'm so frustrated. I called my Dr office and told them the situation they said self pay would be $13,500 and it doesn't even include the anesthesiologist! !! I do have a hiatal hernia found though the egd.

So my insurance bcbs federal, says I need to show 2 weight loss steps that were medically supervised with in a year of surgery. Help !!! What qualifies, I did phentermine but that was 15 months ago and only lost 4 lbs

I'm seeing a nutritionist but she in the same office as my surgeon, my insurance states it can not be an associate of the surgeon

Yes I have done 2 of my nutritional visits out of 3. I'm doing a low carb low sugar ketogenic diet with moderate excercise since last month and have lost 1.7 lbs

I'm def trying to stay focused. When I got the call from the insurance I wanted to regress back to my old ways and have a soda!! (Soda is my weakness) but I didn't I drank a liter of ice water and cried. I'm still really proud I've been keeping focused<3

I'm worried about a.million things right now!!! My son just turned 2. I'm a stay at home mom thankfully. My concern is that I can't lift him to change him, put him in his crib, high chair, potty training him, our when he falls and wants me to hold him!! Any ideas!!! My husband and I have been trying to have him climb into his carseat but I'm at a loss as to his crib(he loves his crib and will not sleep anywhere else)
