My name is Philip. I had a gastric sleeve surgery on October 21st, 2014. The surgery went well and I am into my 2nd week post op.
I decided to have the surgery after many years of thinking that I can loose weight by myself. I had minor success but I never got down to where I wanted/needed to be. My nephrologist always encouraged me to get the surgery but I refused. However, earlier this year when he suggested it again I decided to do it. I need to loose weight to get down to a get down to a desirable weight to get a kidney transplant. So I went through the classes and here I am almost 2 weeks in.
The only problem that I had was the soreness of my throat that lasted for 4 days.
I look forward to loosing the weight and keeping it off so that I can get a kidney transplant. I anticipate that this will happen in 1-1.5 years. God willing.
