Healthy choice frozen
wantingabetterlife replied to mimorison's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have had Atkins frozen on occasion. It depends on the content of the meal itself. Just be sure and read the label. -
Weight stall
wantingabetterlife replied to misslady102's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Brace yourself because this is just the first of many The stalls come and go. Just do what @@Elode said and stay off of the scale! If you stay on track and follow your plan, the scale WILL move. Best of luck to you! -

Confused caltrate or citrate
wantingabetterlife replied to ylluz's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor said Calcium Citrate with Vitamin D. I am sure each doctor and each nutritionist varies! I would double check with yours. -

Lol, you will get into a routine. It just takes time. Congrats on getting all your water in though! -

Calling all nurses!
wantingabetterlife replied to jennolsen's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You may just be surprised! The best environment you can be in post-op is surrounded by people that eat right and work out, think no doughnuts at the nurses station You never know, any one of them may have had the same weight loss struggles at one time! You are trying to take control of your life and get healthy. I would never judge someone for that. -
What's your "weight loss pet peeve?"

Protein protein protien
wantingabetterlife replied to yibarra4's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I couldn't tolerate Protein shakes, too thick. I love the Syntrax nectar Iced Tea! It's much thinner, like a regular drink. -
I'm not stalled anymore
wantingabetterlife replied to melgar83's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congrats on the scale moving! Stalls are the worst but they do go away. BTW, two pounds is everything! Be proud of those two pounds -
So very happy for you! The NSV's are the best in my book

Greetings from the newly sleeved!
wantingabetterlife replied to daffodil187's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congrats on your loss so far! The stalls come and go, just ride them out. My stomach still makes some weird noises and I'm 8 months out! Best of luck on your journey -
What's your "weight loss pet peeve?"
wantingabetterlife replied to Elode's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I don't know but I just get it so they will stop asking me if I'm sure I don't want a drink! -

2nd Guessing myself
wantingabetterlife replied to jmw1982's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm with @@The Candidate! I failed at every attempt previous to this so this is my last chance. This is such a remarkable tool and it really helps get a lot of the "out of control" feelings in hand. Support and therapy for any food related issues is a major tool also. If I never got my food related issues under control, I am sure I would gain the weight right back. One reason I fell off the bandwagon so many times in the past was that I never got any emotional help. I say to attack weight loss one last time from all angles! -
What's your "weight loss pet peeve?"
wantingabetterlife replied to Elode's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
First off, congrats @@Elode on your member spotlight in the newsletter! Your story is great. My biggest peeve is when someone asks me how much more weight are you going to lose? You never asked me how much more I was going to gain when I was heavier. Quit telling me how much I should or shouldn't lose! You aren't my surgeon, nutritionist, or doctor.....so stop asking me! Okay, rant over! -
@@padremama My GI suggested InSync because it is a good one but he said it is a little pricey.

Sleeves this morning (8/3/15)...back home already!
wantingabetterlife replied to BrownEyedTxGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow, that is great! -
My GI doctor told me to take them. Then again, he has always said to use them! I wasn't told anything about it helping in weight loss though. I spend enough on my other Vitamins so I haven't added them as of yet. I would love to hear more about it though.
