I can't wait to have my surgery! Love seeing all success everyone is having!
  4. So I'm transferring insurances (to Oxford liberty) and their requirements for the sleeve is to have a BMI above 40 or if below have major health issue. Now I've been pre diabetic 2x's now and have PCOS. My weight has been up and down like crazy since the beginning of my 6month journey. Speaking with my dr's office my insurance does not consider being pre diabetic a major health issue or my PCOS. I'm starting to get nervous about getting approved. Anyone else been in the same boat?? Also does anyone know if they go with your starting BMI from when you started or where you at, at the end of your supervised weigh ins?
  5. Thank you. I just spoke with my pcp and she's writing the letter of importance along with my history of being pre diabetic. Hopefully this will help with the decision making.

  8. Thank you! Keith what I'm reading about sleep apnea I might be a candidate for it. I have asthma but I'm not sure if that one of the major health issue Oxford is talking about. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though. To have come this far and be denied would completely suck!
  9. I haven't been tested for that one yet. I don't think I have issues with that cause I have no problems sleeping at night.
  10. So I was on fedelis through this entire process. Every test was done and I was so ready for my surgery date. Called my insurance company yesterday to find out if my Dr sent my forms in only to be told my insurance was canceled! Apparently I make too much at my job these day to be eligible for it anymore. Thankfully I'm coming up on three months being at my job, this entitles me to there insurance. As anyone would be I'm nervous now worrying about this new insurance coving my surgery. Thank goodness a co worker with me is going through the same process I am and has our company insurance. There covering her all the way thank god! So hopefully by next week I will have my day! Cross your fingers for me please and say a little prayer

    My little hiccup

I did the whole six months with my other insurance. I was so pissed when I heard they canceled me! From what I was told as long as you meet all the requirements there should be no problems coving the surgery. I'll cross my fingers for u as well!
  15. So I just had my study done Thursday. I had a capsule implanted in my esophagus. Since then I've been experiencing the worst pains near what I'm assuming is the implantation site. Has anyone else had and or experience this? I swear the pain is so bad at time I feel as if I'm having a heart attack.

    Bravo study

    Bravo study

To check the acid levels in my stomach. Even though I don't have acid reflex apparently it's a standard test before surgery. At least for my surgeon.
