Can you restretch your stomach?
Eurogirl10 replied to AWD12368's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@Proud2BMe Did you do the pouch reset? If so, what is it? -
@@Veronica Page I am stuck right now too. Gained 5 lbs...falling into old habits. Not working out at all. I haven't been for so many months. I'm a bit upset too because I'm eating too much and too often. I am starting to feel hunger again too and that scares me. Are you running into this too? I see how much others have lost and I'm so happy for them, but disappointed with my situation. I'm wondering if a personal trainer will help me get me motivated again and get me back on track. I haven't given up, just lost my mojo a bit.

HW 295 DOS 280 CW 222 (gained 4 lbs this week...yikes) GOAL...160ish I wish I still had my old 20s and early 30s metabolism! I'm almost 43 and now get what my mom used to complain about. Haha. I've been struggling lately. Lots of stress eating, not working out, not getting protein or water in...basically, my fault. Starting to get hunger feelings again...not liking that. But I'm going to buckle down this week and prove to myself I am still going to win this battle! Went on bariatricpal with my head hanging low, but you again have inspired me! You are all doing great! Congrats to you all!

I am so glad to see everyone is doing great! It looks like I reached my 1/2 way mark today! Yippee! I have fallen off the wagon and hit my head on a tub of carbs. Ooops! I also stopped swimming and doing any exercise. Again, oooops! I came here for inspiration, something to give me the push and/or encouragement I need. Getting into the gym feels so hard right now. Not sure what is going on with me. I was also having trouble getting my vitamins in- too big and too many. I looked around for a one a day chewable that tastes okay. I found one that I am not forgetting to take! I ordered a 30 day supply to test it out directly from the company (see link). So far so good! http://www.procarenow.com/Bariatric-Complete-Chewable-MultiVitamin-Once-Per-Day--Formulated-for-Roux-en-Y-Vertical-Sleeve-Duodenal-Switch-30-Day-Supply_p_10002.html I wish everyone continued success!

Hi All, I've been MIA for a little bit and just read how everyone is doing. Wow, looks like everyone is doing fantastic! I have cheated a little bit here and there, but I am amazed at the restraint I have...and that full feeling! Finally, I am able to stop! @@Veronica Page...you made me smile writing about KFC! I am supposed to have that next week for a birthday party! I am not too sure how to resist "the good part" of the chicken. Maybe I will allow myself one bite of it and then take the skin off. Hahaha. I finally took a good look at myself in the mirror yesterday...and I was not disgusted! Progress! I am amazed at the transformation and am feeling better inside and out. My old clothes from a little over a year ago are fitting again. (I gained 60 lbs last year!). I look forward to the day I can wear this one pair of jeans again...and then say, they are too big! The only negative things I am experiencing is not tolerating red meat (ground beef) very well, my hair is falling out a bit (thankfully have thick hair) and my "monthly visitor" being on overdrive. I was told that was normal and my body was adjusting. A little TMI, but I wanted to make sure that others knew it can happen. I wish everyone continued success on this incredible journey we are all on!

I've decided to go back to the basics and am going to do the pouch test. I've had naughty carbs and ate more this past week. I found myself starting to repeat my former bad habits. Going to nip it in the bud ASAP. I will let you know how it goes and if it helps!

@Melis_26@amyecpa Hi ladies, A stall seems to be very normal for the majority of sleevers. I had mine 3 weeks after my surgery and it lasted 2 weeks. Don't worry, you will start losing again. Not sure if this triggered weight loss again, but I ate more and starting working out. I think you both are doing great!!!
-
@@Veronica Page I know how you must feel, but don't let that bring you down. Look at all the weight you already lost! How amazing! Setbacks of any kind are inevitable. I had that plateau that lasted 2 weeks and then I got sick for another week, but I'm back on track now. Just drink water and you will be just fine. My weight can fluctuate by 2 lbs every day. Sometimes my morning weight is 4-6 lbs less than my evening weight. Don't be bummed, you are doing great!

So after a week of staying home due to a nasty head cold, I finally got to the pool! Yay! I swam for an hour and it felt amazing. If there are any swimmers here, I highly recommend underwater MP3 players. I listen to music and it really helps the time pass quickly. Here is the link to the one I have: http://www.amazon.com/Waterproof-Player-Swimming-Sports-Standard/dp/B00E11BNVY/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1425132369&sr=1-6&keywords=Aerb

I also bought items from this awesome online store with flat shipping! It's called Netrition. Check out the low carb section.

My stall broke, finally. I ate more and was on the sofa with a bad cold the last few days. Lol. I also bumped up my Vitamin D, which does effect me losing weight. My doctor, former trainer and I figured this out 6 years ago. One thing I want to point out and remind myself. Everyone loses weight differently. Some faster, some slower. Age, sex, diet, exercise, metabolism, starting weight, sleep, medications, health conditions, etc. all have an effect on weight loss. We all do share the same goal though: lose weight. We are not in competition here, only for support and knowledge. Btw...thank you for the sliming post! Made me feel like I was not alone. Someone asked about recipe ideas. I've been to Pinterest to get some. I recently made meatloaf and mini quiches in muffin tins and froze them. Wishing everyone a great week! XOXO

Dreaded 3-week stall?
Eurogirl10 replied to BriDawn's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Thank you so much ladies for the great advice and not making me feel like a failure!!!! I'm stuck at the same weight for 1.5 weeks now and I may have gained 1 lb. I was so discouraged until I read these comments. -

Why Am I Not Losing Weight?
Eurogirl10 replied to jessica0728's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@ I had my surgery on January 22nd and have been eating soft foods...and loving it. It seemed as if I was losing 1 lb a day after the surgery, but now I am at a stall for a week. I am freaking out a bit, but I have been looking at other posts (I'm on the January Sleevers forum a lot) and this is common! People seem to stall at one point. I think it is because I am not eating enough protein and exercising enough. You would think with such low calorie counts, one would lose, right? I am frustrated myself, but I will try to force myself to go downstairs into my gym and lift some weights and do a little cardio. Just keep at it. You will be okay! -
@@Veronica Page I've totally stalled. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I was losing a lb a day before. Now I'm stuck. What did you do to stop the madness? I'm going a little cuckoo over this. Also, how much Protein, exercise and calories are you getting in? I'm trying to figure things out here. Thx!!!!!
-
My weight loss stopped kind of abruptly this week. Not sure why. Finding getting the protein in hard, but with no sugar and the calories I should be dropping. Seems like a lot of us are in the same boat. Perhaps it is the body adjusting? Shock? I'm going to bump up the exercise to try to shake things up a bit and get more protein in. I'll let you know if it works!

I was sleeved on the 22. The one night planned hospital stay turned into 3 nights. It was rough. My stomach was ok, it was the hiatal hernia that has given me nothing but grief after they "fixed" it. I have taken norco for a week, but I will stop now. I have lost nothing from last week to this week. Wondering if I'm eating too much. I'm walking a bit, but nothing intense.

Going in today. So nervous now. Scheduled at 7:30 am, need to be there at 5:30 am. Yawn. See you later!!!!

Calling January Sleever????
Eurogirl10 replied to time for june's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
After two days of all day phone calls for a new approval due to a Dr. office mistake, my insurance approved my surgery today. That's good, because it is on Thursday! Yay! I am tired of this preop diet! I'll post my stats soon. Not sure I lost weight on this liquid diet. I've been less active, but stuck to it 100%. -
Calling January Sleever????
Eurogirl10 replied to time for june's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So, my hospital screwed things up and I was approved for the band, not the sleeve. The papers were resubmitted and I spent three hours on the phone with insurance. I have until Tuesday morning to get the approval or my surgery will be delayed 1 week. Im so down right now. I can't do this 600 calorie all liquid for 3 weeks. -

Good luck today, ladies!!!! Let us know how you are doing when you are ready. Thinking of you! -
Day 3 of pre op diet. I'm pretty hungry and less active. I discovered sugar free Popsicles a real help though. Takes some hunger pain away.

I just had a sugar free popsicle. It seems to help. I drink the carnation instant breakfast. I can have 5.5 packets a day with milk. I'm not a fan of broth, but I bought it in case I'm dying for something with a little salt. Day 8? That's great! You can do it! @@Diane Grimm
