On day 3 we can start full liquids. I am tracking everything on my phone. Here is what the 1st looked like for me. 1/1/15 4 ounces water 2 ounces water 2 ounces water 6 grams protein in milk (throughout day) 27 grams protein in shake (working on both throughout day) 2 oz isopure - 4 grams protein 2 oz fluid 2 oz fluid Almost 2 oz isopure- 4 grams protein 4 oz water 2 oz fluid 2 oz water 2 oz isopure - 4 grams protein 1 oz fluid 4 oz water 2 oz water 6 grams protein in milk (throughout day) 27 grams protein in shake (working on both throughout day) 2 oz fluid 2 oz isopure- 4 grams protein 4 oz water 4 oz water 2 oz cream of chicken 2 oz fluid 2 oz water 2 oz water 2 oz fluid plus 20 ml 2 oz water 2 oz water 2 oz water

That gas was killer!!! I survived though thankfully. Now ready to be on the losers bench. It is crazy not being hungry at all. I went home today. Staying on the pain meds but stopped taking nausea meds. So thankful to not be nauseated. I had a hernia repair and I have 5 incisions. One started leaking today while I was walking. The nurse had me use gauze on it. Hope everyone is doing great!!

I can barely keep my eyes open. I guess it is the anesthesia and narcotics. Stomach is sore and I thought I was going to throw up earlier but so far i am ok. Just has upper gi

Gown on and iv in. Starving!!! Gonna tell the doc to cut out my hunger literally!! Breath is horrifying!!! Yuck yuck!! Oh well. Today's the day!

So excited about tomorrow!!! Praying we all have successful surgeries.

I have several tattoos but the ones I am most concerned about are a 1/4 sleeve on my arm. Does anyone have experience with arm tattoos after weight loss? I wonder if they will look ok. I have about 150 to lose.

Today was definitely my worst day. Rest of pre op diet has gone great. Back on track ASAP though to get ready for the big day Monday.

It was a hard decision but I don't feel guilty.

I cheated tonight and planning to tomorrow. I will get right back on track Friday and I plan on doing all my shakes.

I have got nauseated with mine too but I think it is because our bodies are detoxing.

How is everyone holding up today?

That makes sense. Today is day 3 for me and I am starving. I had honestly considered getting one thing off allowable food list and eating it. That list is when people are allowed to have 1 meal a day.

My surgery is December 29th as well! I am doing 4 shakes a day, sugar free jello, sugar free Popsicles and broth. I am so torn though about Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day. I would really like to eat that day. I have wondered if I am perfect the rest of the time if I could cheat and then just be perfect the rest of the time??!!! I am close to 300 lbs so not sure if that would make a difference.

I have heard as long as you get in your proteins and fluids and vitamins that it won't be bad.

I hear depression is common after surgery. Maybe try to find a good support group or a new hobby. Praying it gets better!!

I hope to have surgery at the end of December. I am giving up soda next week and just this morning I was thinking how sad I was about it. Hope I can let it go!!

I am most likely going to have to do a 2 week liver reduction diet before surgery. BMI is 47. My doc office recommends Bariatric advantage but I need a more cost effective plan. I thought about pure protein. What do you all recommend? Our diet is 2 shakes a day, 2 protein snacks a day and 1 lean green meal for the 1st week. The 2nd week is 5 shakes a day.
