Anyone with mirena and sleeve? Warning, woman topic LOL
bookgirl1972 replied to sleevemom88's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have had Mirena for 3 years and have not had a period in at least 2 years. Now I have had 2 mini periods since surgery (7 weEkes ago). I am scheduling an apt to see what is going on. -
I am also six weeks out and just had a taco this week. I was worried too, but my nut says like 3/4 cup food and I don't think it is really more than that, so I am hoping is ok.

bookgirl1972 replied to purplecatlover's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been surprised to see such disparity in post op diets. Mine was clear liquids till I was out of hospital. Then one week full liquid, one week, purée and two week soft. I didn't have a problem moving Through the stages quickly. -

So Tire of Clear Liquids!
bookgirl1972 replied to sukik's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am in the puréed phase and feeling the same thing. I was desperate to leave clear and then full liquids behind. But am now going through the same feelings again. Tonight at least I went out for dinner and just had soup. I only had the broth, but being able to have some of that normalcy of ordering normal food, Even though I only had the liquid, really made it easier. I think for me it's finding A way to make it more normal, and less deprived will help get me through it. But it is VERY hard mentally to go through these phases, -
Do Your Vitamins Make You Sick?!?
bookgirl1972 replied to Ms ~V~'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor recommended a Centrum chewable. While it doesn't taste great, it's not bad enough to make me feel sick at all. -
How long before people are returning to work?
bookgirl1972 posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
i am only one week post op and by doctor Indicated people return after two weeks. I am worried two weeks is two fast. I am feeling pretty good by sleeping tons and still having pain. Also I would Prefer to be back on solid foods when I return. I did do a Short term disability claim so at my doctors whim. What is everyone else doing? Has anyone else done extended disability claims? -
