professional 52yo worried about perception of other members of upper management?
brennasmom replied to scared52yoguy!'s topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Strong courageous ability to see a problem and solve it. These are qualities we want to have and you have them. Weak people don't go through this process. Keep up the great work. -
I actually have blogged my farewell tour of foods. While I realize that I will be able to eventually have these foods again and since I see it as a grieving process -my relationship with food- it helps me prepare for my anticipated surgery. Anything that helps you prepare it helps. Good luck. ????

I am two months away from completion of my six month insurance mandated weight management I am anxious for my surgery approval. I appreciate this time to realize how my life will change. This is a tool not a quick fix. I realize this every day. You can do it. Just hang in there. -

My name is MJ. I am a fifty three year old OB nurse in Alaska. Been married almost 18 years to the love of my life and we have an 11 year old daughter. I have been a nurse for thirty years and have decided after forty years of fat I need to be around for my family. They need and love me as much as I love them. I am planning on spring 2015 for my sleeve. I have two more of the required six consecutive weight management sessions. Already had my required psychiatrist visit and had my consultation in Seattle with my surgeon. Things going well. I am down 33 lbs since I started weight management. From 261 lbs to 228lbs. I want to lose another seven pounds and keep in my training mode. Has anyone been turned down because they lost too much weight pre op.?The surgery is my motivation. I know I have to do this training for the rest of my life my sleeved life.

Lying about what type of surgery..
brennasmom replied to Bubsen's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Don't forget FMLA. Family Medical Leave Act. I will be using it spring 2015 when I get my sleeve. Been banking my leave. I have to take 6 weeks off and my job won't let me back until I am ready. Take care of yourself first.
