  1. Hang in there. I am being sleeved April 29th. It is normal to be scared but which is worse. I have the same nervousness today but I know it is the best tool for me. I am done with 40 plus years of fat and this surgery is the best tool available to me! And I am 53 years old. Keep your eye on the prize

    Prayers. Am sure you are in good hands. My surgery April 29th and have to travel out of state. Will missy 12 year old daughter but am really looking forward to being around for her !
  4. Finishing up day one of 2 week pre op diet. Actually did ok. los of greens and water. Really like the shakes but always have had ecclectic taste buds! Nervous and excited. No doubt this is the best tool in my forty years of fat experience. The only thing that has given me hope! Hang in there! People here are so supportive!

    April 29th! Just started my 2 week pre op diet today.Using Bariatric Advantage banana protein powder. Not too bad-but it is day one. Getting nervous and excited as the date nears. Never had major surgery before but know I made the right decision! Good luck everyone!

    My doctor told me6 weeks because of the physical aspects of my job. Just depends on your physical requirements of your job.

    April 29th Virginia Mason. Start my pre op diet April 15th. Have lost 41 pounds pre op. Been saying goodby to my favorite take out foods and snacks. Started to scrapbook my journey. Can't believe the time is finally coming!

  14. Waiting for Insurance approval. But it is Girl scout cookietime here in Alaska and I was wondering how people deal with these great cookies. I am a GS leader and Cookie parent/manager. Seeing there will probably not be a bariatric cookie in the near future-just curious and also looking for some tips on how to handle the cookie situation. Thank you in advance. :)

  17. Has anyone had success with the product Quease ex? It is used in hospitals for post op nausea. My hospital uses it for post op management for nausea

  19. What medications are restricted after the sleeve? Alot of the NSAIDS? Are the restrictions temporary or for the rest of your life? Thanks

  23. I am five months into my mandatory 6 consecutive months of weight management requirement for my gastric sleeve. In that amount of time I have lost 33 pounds. I am afraid to lose more as I am afraid I will be told I am no longer eligible. Having the surgery has been my sole motivation to lose weight. I am making these changes to have a better life with the sleeve. Any words of encouragement is greatly appreciated. Thanks
