  1. I still haven't decided which surgery i want i think the sleeve becasue there's no moving things around and no dumping.But the gastric bypass my mom had and gained her weight back i guess if u eat junk that will happen and is the pouch they make the same size for both surgerys

      Both surgeries perform the same function. The bypass is known for having dumping but for some the sleeve does also. Any surgery is just a tool and if you don't do the other steps it doesn't work. With any of the surgeries you can not lose or gain it all back if you don't modify your eating and stick to the plan. You are able to eat the same amount no matter which surgery.

      My Dr. approved the sleeve because it has less complications and I qualified because I was not yet diabetic. I am under the impression that if you are diabetic or other metabolic issues the RNY is better for those and sometimes better if you have excess of 100lbs to lose. Not an expert by any means, just how I was educated.

      Agree with Shannon. Also, I have had RNY and only one major dumping episode in 9 weeks, these are controlled with good eating habits.
