  1. I still haven't decided which surgery i want i think the sleeve becasue there's no moving things around and no dumping.But the gastric bypass my mom had and gained her weight back i guess if u eat junk that will happen and is the pouch they make the same size for both surgerys

      I was diabetic and have over 100 pounds to lose but was sleeved. I am now off all blood sugar meds and with pre-op dieting I have lost 63 pounds, so it CAN be done if one is motivated.

      I have ibs and thinking that the gastric bypass might interfer with that i weigh 260 so i want to lose atleast 1 hundred lb's

      I would not make a choice based on the weight you need to lose. Both surgeries will deliver that if you follow the plan. The big deifference has to do with Reflux/Gerd issues. If you have that now, RNY will cure it, the sleeve can make it worse. If you don't have it now, the sleeve can cause it. Make sure you talk to your surgical team about this, it is not a small decision. We see people on here all the time who end up revising to bypass for this very reason. Do more homework before making your decision. That is the best advice anyone can give you. You can definately lose the lbs with either surgery. Good luck!
