Since my surgery my wife has who has the LapBand has gained 30 lbs and keeps telling that I'm going to get skinny and find a new woman. It's like she was happier when I was overweight and diabetic. Anyone else get this from there spouses?

I'm 3 weeks out and with Kaiser you don't have the purée stage. So I've started with thin sliced deli meat. Dinner was 4 shrimp and 4 broussel sprouts. Then I get the full feeling. I drink about 45-60 ounces a day . I drink koolaid with Splenda . They prescribed protonix/pantoprazole for any acid reflux and then Zofram for nausea but haven't had any. Maybe those meds might help you. -
I had my surgery 10/21 and yes the first week sucks especially trying to schedule the pills ,iron, carafate, calcium and b12 . Drinking enough is import so you don't get constipated.Right now I've lost 28# since surgery and getting energy back. I've stopped my diabetes medicine and need to see Dr to possibly lower other meds . What I always say is " Without challenges there is no Success!"

Hey I'm Chris and I had my surgery on 10/21 . At my heaviest I was 330 but I'm 6'3 guy. On surgery day I was 270 and now I'm at 248 . My surgery was with kaiser and was the sleeve . After 2 weeks they tell you to start modified soft foods. -

I had my surgery 10/21 and took it easy for about 5 days . Internal pain was only 2 days for me with liquid pain killer . I'm an Auto Transport truck driver and I have to load up and climb around the trailer and lots of walking. I did a load one week after surgery and only had a little incision area pain. So it's a very physical demanding jobs and I feel great. Definitely it's different for everyone.
