If you’ve had a Tummy Tuck what items do you wish you would have had?
what did you have that was a must/life saver?
did you go and have lymphatic massages? Or do it yourself?
thanks in advance!

Has anyone ever used Mia Aesthetics-Specifically Dr Martin Morse at the Las Vegas location for cosmetic surgery?

love the part where you say she’s not like us on the scale everyday! I don’t know if that will ever change either….😭
Thank you!
I think I’m going to give it a try-I found a spot that will ship directly to me so I can administer my own injections.
For those of you looking for updates I will post them here!

I do.
currently I take one by ProCare Health (with iron)also a hair/skin/nails and collagen

I’ve been gone a while from the forum. life has just been busy and I guess time just gets away from me. It’s like I turned around and I’m old 😂 not really old but you know what I mean.
looking at my profile it’s hard to believe I’ve been banded since 2014. I can only imagine where I would be if I never had the surgery. Or if I had done it sooner….
today I’m probably the healthiest I’ve ever been. I’ve got to be the mother and grandmother MY parents and grandparents never were and it’s because I changed. My career my marriage and my family has all flourished!
is it all because of the surgery? Maybe not. But I definitely attribute a lot to it!
the way I feel, the activities I can do…my overall mental health….i still deal with body image issues….still that chubby woman in the mirror, stuck episodes and bad days. We all probably do. But the good definitely outweigh the bad!I recently went to the dr for a horrible sting and when she took my blood pressure it was 55bpm I said “isn’t that too low?”
she said “honey, you are almost 44, sitting cross legged on my table and just told me about your 20 mile mountain bike ride. Just looking at you I would say other than this sting you appear pretty healthy. It’s just fine.”
coming from a family tree with tons of health issues, cancer and obesity I felt a huge win!
so here’s to hoping the band holds up another 10 years😂 (I see a lot of horror stories) she has been a lifesaver and a huge help. Without her I don’t think I would be where I’m at!
cheers to you all! Wishing you all the best of luck on your journey!

I too have dealt with stalls….and struggled with Water and Protein intake.
the struggle is real! And so odd right? For me it was going from eating everything in sight to sharing a plate with the hubs when we go out to eat.one thing I did because I was so sick of Protein Shakes and bars….
I even went through a phase when I ate baby food every so often just to switch it up!
i started experimenting with unflavored flavored protein….soups, sugar free Jello, pancakes/muffins ecttons of recipes on this site.
once you start eating regularly and getting out and about, you will feel so much better….trust the process (as they say!)
also make sure you are taking the vitamins/meds recommended by your doc
good luck 😊

I didn’t even know this was still a thing! I had it back in 2013.
I never did drugs, but it was exactly what I imagined crack would be lolI also had bad side effects-jittery and couldn’t sleep.
only upside was a clean house in record time 🙃
never finished it or refilled it

So during my online readings and searches I’ve pondered the thought of adding B-12 injections. My levels are low and lately I’ve just been sluggish and tired….all the time. Like consistent since my last bout of Covid about 6mo ago.
anywho….I’ve come across this B12 + mic injections because if I can feel less sluggish and loose a few pounds, then why not.
As a side note I’ve gained a few pounds from my lowest weight. Currently 147 @ 5’5….I’ve tried to convince myself it’s due to muscle gain 😂 but summer is coming and I’m being honest with myself. My workout schedule has gone from easily 6 days a week to maybe 4 on a good week.
my work schedule has been crazy.
also still have the lapband….if it was a relationship I’d list it as “it’s complicated” because I love and hate it 😂
enough rambling- let me know if you’ve tried it and your thoughts!
also these are self administered once approved by the dr.

My stats were close to yours...i have a lil pooch but not much saggy skin. My weight loss was slow and i took care of myself. I also work out everyday.
I didnt have many complications. Really not being hungry was a thing for quite a while...and having to force myself to eat. I also had a short bout with finding foods that worked for me. She still has her days where she is hard to figure out! But its much more predictable!

I just hit 6yrs with the band in october....i believe that without it i would still be overweight....by a lot. While the band is work, i believe any surgery would have been. I work out 5-6x a week and have completely changed my lifestyle. I didn't get the surgery and then sit on the couch waiting for some miracle to happen. I have to be cautious with what i eat and when....she can still be a bit finicky at times, but to me the work has been worth it.
All of my fills were included in the price for the first year....i have been at the same fill for about 3 yrs....found my sweet spot.

I use Geeked...by far the only one that works for me.

Sorry for the late reply....i would definitely go back to the basics....when i get off track i usually do a pouch reset (i have the band obviously, but have found this to be helpful)
https://www.obesitycoverage.com/the-pouch-reset-losing-weight-after-weight-regain/
And count calories.
The thing that really helps...is looking at old pics....i dont want the old me back...lol
You got this! Good luck!

I've been at my goal weight and exercise daily-religously.
Still jiggle in my belly. While i can see outlines and muscle formation, hips and a defined waist, i still have a pooch....right around/below my belly button
-
I still have flabby skin....i lost slowly, and exercise daily. Mainly focusing on muscle building with some cardio. I have also tried every fad out there to try to tighten it up...sadly for me i think only winning the lottery will cure this jiggle🤣🤣🤣that way i can get surgery.
-
Lol @AJ Tylo I read that elevation changes often mess with the band....was hoping it was the band and not me! But looking back guess i did indulge just a bit....
-
-
I recently took a trip for about a week and a half...now I'm home and hardly any restriction. The only thing i can think of is elevation change? Roughly 6100-3000....
No unusual issues like pain or stuck episodes.
Thinking i should do liquids for A week?
This ever happen to anyone?
Thanks in advance!!😊

Definitely weights....i alternate days push/pull exercises and do my warm ups on either a treadmill or a spin bike....its no official program but seems to be working for me.
