How do you change your wardrobe so often and not spend a fortune?
KikiVal315 replied to mphsmommy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
i go to walmart, ross, tj max, or sometimes old navy when they have good sales. -
easy there with the cheetos, lol. i don't want to rain on your parade, but you have to watch what you eat, or follow some sort of diet. i realize you're very hungry...i'm going through the same thing, but i don't get my first fill until august; i do have a little restriction. but what i'm doing is following a high protein low carb diet & exercising. all of this is helping and i'm sure once i get to my sweet spot, my band will be adding to it. remember, the band is just a tool...

you can do it! you'll see, a month will go by so fast! focus on your proteins, and if you get really hungry, start moving & keep your mind occupied. i find that helps me A LOT!!! -
oh yeah, im in: 45-60mins brisk walking daily either at the gym or park. GOAL: to loose 7-10lbs this month (no fill yet).

I'm Wondering--did you TELL?
KikiVal315 replied to thughes113's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i did tell immediate family and then the ENTIRE family found out just a couple of weeks ago when they saw me at a family reunion and asked what my weight loss secret was...i told them. i did tell some people at work, when they asked, “so how was your vacation?” I then would reply, “uh, I didn’t go on vacation, I had surgery…” of course they asked, but I told them. there are some people I didn’t tell, but if they find out through office gossip, I don’t care. There is this one person who I kind of wish I didn’t tell, every SINGLE time she calls the officeshe asks me are down? How much have you lost so far? THAT GETS REALLY OLD! -

Reduction of unwanted hair...hairy-hirsutism
KikiVal315 replied to raedelicious's topic in The Gals' Room
yeah that's just great isn't it??? i just had my fourth session, laser is to its highest setting, 30, and i only see a 50% difference in my treated areas. i get my entire face done with the exception of my nose & forehead, my under chin area gets treated as well. my package includes 6 sessions and free maintenence for two years...i told the tech yesterday I KNOW i'll need more than 6 sessions. all i know is, for the money i spent, this sh*t better work. -
i dunno, call me crazy , but i can't wait to have a normal one all on my own.

KikiVal315 replied to sunflower00's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
you need to walk,walk,walk...it helps so much. i had the severe pains too. i walked, used electric heating pad to sleep, and the heat patches that last 8hrs when i returned to work. use therma care, they work the best :blushing: -
you both just gave me a great idea: i'll clean out my closet & dresser. not only will it make room for new smaller clothes, but i know i'll find some "treasures" too!! oh im super excited now!!!:Angel_anim:

magic bullet or blender ??
KikiVal315 replied to mom2twins's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Sherry- I mainly use my mini blender for my mushie stage. I have a small one from hamilton beach. its way better than lugging out the normal size blender, and its less cleaning. my mini only has one button/speed, which is perfect, imo. it was $15.00 at walmart. i didn't go w/the magic bullet only because i knew i was only going to use it during this stage and didn't want to spend more money. :rolleyes2: -
Getting used to band feelings....
KikiVal315 replied to TDRinCHATT's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
oh yeah!! get the pain in my left shoulder when i'm full too! i stay full for a couple of hours, which is completely amazing. preband, i would be hungry all the time (maybe head hunger) and i would be snacking all day. now i get SO full off of a cup if not less, of mushies. i haven't lost anything this last week, but i'm just begining, so i'm not worried. i know my body has to get used to these sudden changes.:rolleyes2:
