  1. Hang in there, I was banded on November 14th, 2007 and I have lost 92 lbs. I am at 8 cc in a 10 cc bands. Haven't had a fill in 3 months and I am feeling great. Eulete
  2. Please don't cancel. I had the surgery a year ago and I have lost 92 lbs. Everyone body is different and everyone don't follow the rules. Do what your doctor says and you will be fine.
  3. Hi Everyone, My one year anniversary is this week on November 14, 2008. I was banded on November 14, 2007 and at this time, I weighed 274 LBS. I am proud to say I have lost 91 lbs. Although, the 91 lbs sounds good, the best part is I can keep up with my nine year old son without being tired. Two weeks ago we raced across the football field after his practice and the first thing he said when we finished is mom you are not out of breath. I just smiled and say Thank you God for the opportunity to have good insurance that paid 100% of the cost to have the surgery, thanks for keeping me when I was so obese and thanks for keeping me on the right path to allow me to lose the 91lbs. Thanks for the BAND I will not trade it and it really works. I remember feeling down this time last year because I had let myself get so out of shape and now I look and say what a difference a year make. SO, if you are in the decision mode go for it. If you are in the beginning phase, stick with it and be patientm it will come off. Good Luck to all of you:tt1:

    Loose skin after losing weight

I have lost 65 1bs so far and I don't have a lot of loose skin. However, I have some stomach and I have been using this reshaping garment for it. This reshaping garment also helps to reduce your stomach by two sizes. I learned about the reshaping garment at a women's conference. I am using it and it works. I am now a distributor. If anyone want to know more about these reshaping garments please email me at eulete@yahoo.com for further information. Thanks Eulete Patrick

  8. I think Dr. Waggoner does them if he wasn't the surgeon. However you will have to call to verify. He's located at 290 and Huffimister. I am not certian if this is close enough to you. Eulete

    Whee!

I have lost 54 1lbs and have about 69 lbs to go. The journey has not been that difficult once you make the commitment of a life change. Congratulations to everyone and I am enjoying my new self,
  11. Hang in there. I just had my third fill in March and I am at what everyone called the sweet spot. After my first three fills, I felt like you are describing. However, I just stuck to the plan (our plan of a life change). I stayed away from the bad foods and I limit myself. Every month when I went back to my doctor I lost between 6 to 8 pounds with out filling restriction. This month after 3 weeks and getting to the sweet spot, I have already lost 10lbs and I have a week before I need to see him. Hang in there, you will get to that sweet spot and when you do you will know. Thanks

    Intoduction

Hi, My name is Eulete Patrick. I am currently separated from my husband and I have one son named Tommy. He means the world to me and is my motivation behind me getting healthy. I am an Accountant and I love what I do. Weight has been an issue for many years and I have tried Weight Watchers and succeeded to reach goal, but, then I gained it back and more. I never considered the gatric bypass because I thought it was too dangerous. However, around August 3, 2007 I was watching the news, a lap-band commercial came on and I liked what I heard. I went to work and on my lunchbreak I started researching to find out all I could about the lap band. Then, I went to the seminar on August 19, 2007 and from there I started the paper work. I knew from calling my insurance company that my insurance covered 100% for obesity surgery. SO, we started the paperwork and on October 31, 2007 I received the call that I was approved. So, my date for surgery is November 14, 2007. I started my 7 day liquid diet as of yesterday. Please pray for me as I pray for all of your on my banded day. I am glad to have this forum because it's just my son and I in Houston, Texas. I have great family support but, unfortunately none of my family lives in Houston. However, I have friends and they are supporting me. My doctor is Bradley Waggoner here in Houston, Texas and he is wonderful. Thanks Eulete:clap2:

    What to tell co-workers

I work in an office and I only told my Director and the other two people in my group. However, since the weight has started to come off, at least ten people have asked me what was my secret. When they ask, I told them I had the lapband surgery. These people turned out to be a good support group and they haven't gotten really nosey about how many pounds I have lost or how many I have to go. However, it feels good when people notice that you are losing. Good Luck to everyone.

I did it! I DID IT! I did it!!

Congratulations. I was banded on 11/14/2007 so I am really just starting my journey. I joined 24 hour fitness and hired a personal trainer for my first five weeks to get me started on the right equipment. I am also going to do aerobics class. So it was nice seeing your post and getting some more encouragement. Keep up the good work. Life_Change

    January Exercise Challenge

I enjoy your post regarding exercise. I have been exercising about three days a week. But today, I joined 24 hour fitness and I am also going to have 5 sessions with a personnal trainer. My first appointment with the trainer is on Thursday and I am very excited to boost my exercise to a higher level. Wish me luck in adding another phase to my life changes and I hope you all continue your success. By the way, its very exciting when everyone at work and church tells you hey you are looking good. I say thanks but know I still have along way to go. However, I am feeling healtier and have much more energy.
  19. Hi Everyone I barely psot any messages, but I am alway reading the post to gain information. I had my first fill 1/4/2008. I eat three meals a day and I know I have not reached restriction with this fill because I am hungry in between and I can eat more than a cup of food at each meal. However, I am restricting myself. If I become hungry between meals, I usually eat a fruit or a 90 calorie granola bar. However, I seen a post that says we should only eat a cup of food at each meal and we shouldn't snack between meals because we will stretch the band. Can anyone respond and let me know about eating a fruit or bar between the meals if I get hungry because I do not want to stretch my band and I am looking for any input. By the way, I love my band and I will do whatever it takes to become a success. Please give me some input my bandster family. Thanks In Advance, Eulete:cool2:
  20. I have a desk job and I took a week off from work and then the next week was my Thanksgiving Holiday vacations I had scheduled off:smile:. I would say after 7 days you feel much better, however after about 10 days I was 100%.

    Post-Op diet

I was banded on November 14, 2007 and I am doing well. I am finally on solids and watching carefully what I eat until my 1st fill. I know I don't have restriction so I am paying close attention to what I eat and I have started walking. Since preop I have lost about 22 pounds and can't wait to my first fill so I can get restriction and really start to see some changes. I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. This board is very valuable and although I don't post often, everytime I need answers I read the post out here. So, thanks to all of my new family here at lapbandtalk. Eulete
