I'm sorry to hear about your Mom. You don't need to postpone your surgery. I was sleeved on a Friday morning. By Sunday morning it felt as though nothing had happened! You'd be surprised how quickly you feel better. Also, it's easier having protein shakes v.s. cooking.

Hi there, sorry to hear about your mom, sending you hugs and lots of prayers. I didn't have gastric bypass like you are going to have, but my band gave me a loss of about 50 lbs before my mom was diagnosed with cancer too. ( 2.5 yrs ago) I was fitter and stronger by then, and better able to help her and move her around. Remember, to be able to sometimes help others you have to be strong and heathy yourself !
