    Feeling blue? Time to "Baby-Up"!

Now that the weather is better up north, my dog and I get out for a 5 mile walk almost everyday. This does wonders for the attitude, lots of time for thinking, counting blessings. On the snacking issue, a big deterrent for me is having to write it in my food journal. I am the only one that sees it but I hate having to write down that I ate something stupid.

Gaining weight at soft food stage

I had a stall at about two weeks out that lasted two weeks. I think your body is just adjusting to the change. From your post it sounds like you are doing well following your diet progression, so as people always say on this forum, follow the program and you will lose the weight. Keep up the good work and try to be patient with your body. My body has this strange pattern of losing two pounds, then I go up one pound for a few days and then down two pounds again, crazy but I'm getting used to it.

    Hot Shoes

The only thing to improve on those yellow sandals would be for the wearer to sashay around in them! Have fun!

I've experienced the same nose running issue when eating, I always carry a tissue in my pocket now. What a strange thing!

    I'm scared I'll be saggy....

I am MUCH older than you, so I expected saggy skin. Is it disappointing to me, yes. What balances that out is the sheer joy of seeing those numbers slide down on the scale. I hope that you make a decision based on your future health, saggy skin can always be dealt with.

How long do i have to miss Salads?

I was allowed lettuce, spinach after two months. I cannot have celery or anything with seeds, membranes, skins or nuts until three months out. Your WLS team will have their own specific timetable.

Nervous - Does Anyone Else Feel This Way

I weigh myself daily, and there are definitely days when I am up a pound or so from the previous day. Sometimes that is discouraging, because I think I should be down. I have learned from all the "experienced" posters on this sight to just trust that following the program and getting my exercise will produce weight loss. Don't get discouraged, this will work!

    Venting About Poor Forum Etiquette

@@LipstickLady Oh my, you addressed some of my personal pet peeves. One I see almost every day on here is the misuse of lose/loose, however, I try as you do to look past these mistakes and remind myself that it's the content that counts.

    Dermatologist says "obesity induced eczema"

I had pretty bad eczema for about 30 years. My dermatologist and I tried many products. Clobetasol ointment seemed to work the best, however, there were times even that wasn't much help. I never had complete relief from symptoms. What finally cleared it up and I mean completely- was retiring from teaching. I think it was the stress. Anyway I haven't had any symptoms for two years now. Maybe losing weight will result in less stress for your body( my surgery was only two months ago) and that might help keep the eczema from flaring up?
