I am karen, I had surgery a gastric sleeve on 17.10
14. I have a low BMI of 31.7 but I have diabetes and pcos and have struggled with maintaining a healthy weight and infertility for 15 years. Having a gastric sleeve wasn't a decision I took lightly but turning 35 my biological clock is ticking. I suffer with low self-esteem related to my weight. I was slim till I turned 20 and then my problems began. I haven't told anyone that I have had surgery as I don't want to be labelled as using surgery to be slim as people often say I carry weight well but I did this for me and my health.
