I thought that I wasn't supposed to feel hunger or cravings. I'm definitely feeling cravings.

For those with BMI 36 or lower, how much did you lose your first month pre-op

@@MeganC I'd love to stay in touch. It seems like we're roughly the same and I could use the support. I just had my surgery on 10/13 and I've lost 17# total and 11# post surgery but each day I notice that the scale goes down less and less and it's making me anxious. -

@@Marielbx HI! I'm from NJ too and had my surgery on 10/13. Would love to stay in touch and support each other. How are you feeling? -
@@layknee I had the gastric sleeve. Will definitely look for the October group.

@@Lisa Mccarroll Thanks! I'm getting super sick of raspberry and strawberry flavored gatorade and Jello. What I really want? Meatballs. I'm really a savory eater so all of this almost sweet stuff is killing me. I think I overdid it too. I went back to work yesterday and really wished I hadn't.

@@Lisa Mccarroll @@Shell88 I'm in Northern NJ (Ridgewood) and just had mine done 10/13 at Lennox Hill. I'm feeling a little down in the dumps, probably normally since I can't chew anything, so I'm not yet at the "it's the best decision of my life" yet.

@@tazpur74 I'm right there with you! I had my surgery on 10/13 and I'm bored to tears with the food! I get almost all of my Protein from two 4oz shakes I do and if I'm feeling really ambitious, I'll do a 6 oz for Breakfast and then just rely on my yogurt or ricotta for the rest of it since I'm detesting the shake taste right now. I use Bluebonnet whey Protein Isolate and it has a whopping 26g of protein per scoop (4oz). Please keep in touch. I feel like I could really use some support right about now too.

Two kinda stupid questions
rmspencer replied to MyKidsMom89's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I just had my surgery done and I'm definitely a control freak and overpacked. I wore stretchy legging and a loose tee with a big comfy cardigan to the hospital and planned on wearing the same home. I also brought slippers because I hate the hospital socks and being in bed with socks on. They gown you almost immediately, but don't always provide a second one to cover up your backside so I brought a big sweater cardigan with me. For entertainment (not that I was awake much during my 2 night stay) I brought my laptop, two books, and a kindle. I only needed my laptop and my one book. And I used my phone to play music to help drone out noise while I was sleeping. Other fun things to bring - sleep mask (unless you can sleep with the lights on), earplugs or headphones, face wipes (you're not going to want to bring cleanser so wipes are super easy) and any other must have toiletries. Good luck!
