@@chellede if you make your own turkey chili it'll probably be even healthier. 1 can of crushed tomatoes (I like Muir Glen, but any will do) 1 lb of ground turkey 1 large onion 6-8 cloves of garlic 1 can of beer (optional) chili powder cook your turkey, sautee your onions slowly and until sweet and then add chopped garlic. Add all of that to a pot with the crushed tomatoes and add the beer and chili powder and any salt/pepper to taste. Let simmer for 45 minutes. Freezes fantastically -

@@jstrong630 Totally normal. Mine hit 2 weeks out. Your sense of smell and taste have changed and so the foods you think you like are no longer appealing to your senses which causes the nausea. As does eating the same flavors day in and day out. -

@@Jen - a work in progress I'm blown away that you're allowed to have poultry and meat already. I got a pretty intense lecture at 15 days post op for trying chicken even though it was minced up and in mayo for chicken salad. I would LOVE meatloaf or meatballs. -

@@mjmboston I had mine done on a Monday and went back to work the following Monday. I have a 1.5hr bus/train commute and that alone almost did me in. It was a combination of switching from real pain meds to Tylenol, nauseous reaction to my protein shake and just overall tiredness. Thankfully I work from home on Tuesdays or I wouldn't have made it. Wednesday was better and I still don't feel 100% all day every day but I'm getting close -

@Meonthelist it takes more solid stuff to stretch it really. The liquids travel pretty easily through the stomach and into the GI. I was allowed only 2-3 oz at first and worked my way up to 4-6oz. -

@@sschoch30 this could be due to a lot of different things. Are you taking your pain meds on an empty stomach? That causes nausea. Is there anything that is irritating your sense of smell? That's also a big factor in nausea. -

Can't remember who asked about the yogurt, but I add a tiny bit of honey, a little less than a teaspoon and I eat the 0% fat Fage total and I love it. For those who are 3 weeks out, hitting their stall and feeling exhausted, that's your body adjusting to the lack of calories and going into starvation mode. Mind over matter. You have to force yourself out of bed, exercise, get your heart rate up and then your body will realize it HAS to burn fat in order to keep up with what you want it to do and you'll get out of your funk faster. Good luck! -

@@Peekboo omg they totally are, but when you're only eating 4oz..... I actually don't feel like they make me retain more Water than other things. Which I have to say, I am not peeing nearly enough for how much water I'm consuming. It's so weird. -

@@Peekboo depends on what broth you put with it. I use a broth I get from this Chinese restaurant and it's beef based and then you get it to boil, drop in the egg, let it cook for a minute or two and voila! -

I was sleeved on 10/13. Pre-surgery weight 202, weight at surgery 196.6 and today I'm at 181. I'm having a nauseous reaction to most food. I'm trying to walk 2miles 4 days a week, I do a ton of squats and pushups. I have the same amount of energy that I had pre-surgery. -
