@@NewSetOfCurves Oh yes I know Dr. Fisher and I believe he is very good. In fact I often recommend him. But I don't recall him being very affordable. May I ask what you are having done and cost? Not that price is the most important consideration but I am curious because maybe I have a misperception. I look forward to your surgery updates and believe you have chosen very well! Good luck on this amazing journey! Updated -- oops, never mind, I see you have already answered this: Total cost for my surgery--which includes the lower body lift, tummy tuck, spiral thigh lift and breast augmentation--is $21k. This includes doctor fees, hospital fees, care facility 3 day/2 night post-op care, and all post-op visits.

    Surgery today and pic

I am one year out from facial plastic surgery on December 12, 2013. Today I had a tuck up and chemical peel and scar revision. I am super happy that Dr. Winslow had enough of my SMAS to augment my lips. Hopefully this means no more lips injections for filler because the really hurt! Although the lips are hurting now that all the drugs are wearing off. My lips are a bit duck like now but Dr. Winslow says that will be gone in a week or so. I just got off the phone with her. It is so very nice that she calls after surgery to see how you are doing and if you have any questions. I do not have any pain but my lips. And I cannot eat or drink anything without some of it coming out of my mouth. It is pretty funny. I have to wear a bib. I cannot stay awake owing to the pain killers. I have such a lower resistance to them. As well, I have little memory of surgery today. I fell asleep on the couch curled up in a blanket awaiting them to bring me back to surgery. I recall walking into the OR and Take Me to Church was playing. I recall the nurse having a hard time to find my vein. The next thing I recall is the nurse dressing me and Take Me to Churxh was playing again. The nurse told me it played once during the surgery, too. I wonder if the universe is sending me message? I say this because I have been on a spiritual Quest to find myself. Then I remember being wheeled to the car and my husband driving me home. I went to bed immediately and woke up about 6:30pm. Now I am about to doze off again. I see Dr. Winslow at 8am tomorrow.

@@Julie norton Thank you! I am mixed heritage: Polish, Scandinavian, and Latina. Dr. Winslow's bleaching cream absolutely helps maintain the results of the peel, and using sun block is essential, and even a hat on sunny days. If you aren't ready to give up tanning then don't get a peel because the damage will be redone quickly. That's why I skipped the peel the first time around. But I changed my mind when I got tired of looking at my splotchy skin! I love my bright skin so much now, far more than my tanned skin. I am going to the beach next weekend and hope that they have umbrella chairs. I've packed my 50 SPF and hat and glasses! I am not sure there is much I can tell you about a peel, but I got a 35% TCA Peel from my facial plastic surgeon. Some dermatologists also do them. I am pretty sure that my body contouring plastic surgeon does them, too. My point is, go to an experienced "skin" physician for this procedure. There are some folks on RealSelf who did not and had damage done.
  5. Class Action Lawsuit Over Insurance Coverage for Excess Skin Removal Following Bariatric Surgery Is On In California In California, Kaiser Permanente is denying coverage for excess skin removal for nearly 10,000 patients who have had weight loss surgery. The question at hand is are they obliged to provide that coverage? Read more: (links to article) http://www.healthcentral.com/obesity/c/276918/175614/surgery-surgery-bariatric

He did an awesome job on your butt lift. But how in the world did he get so much improvement in your thighs without doing a thigh lift? The backs and inner thighs in the after photo look vastly improved!!! @@AZDee

  11. @@Nevermind you will be naked more times than you can even imagine, and photographed and touched and prodded. Guess, what? It breaks you out of your shell, at least that is what happened for me. I was timid about my body but the process made me so comfortable with my naked body that I even went topless on a nude beach in NJ. It is very freeing. Good luck!

I thought that I'd share a before pic that shows the sun damaged skin on my face. Notice the uneven skin tone? The before photo was taken in the Summer 2014. I love the chemical peel and bleaching creams from Dr. Winslow!
