Thank you very much!! All the skin peeled off by day 6. I am very happy with my new skin. The swelling has gone down a lot from the tuck up today and those results are looking good, too. Dr. Winslow does wonderful work... So does Dr. Capella. I feel so blessed to have found them. -

@@orionova my love, my heart breaks thinking what you must have endured. I have spoken to so many WLS women that experienced some form of sexual assault, and I cannot even describe how filled with sadness I am for women who have endured abuse as a child or as an adult. It is a travesty the frequency with which this happens. And the lasting effects are profound. I am so proud of you for getting yourself and your son out of that situation. And my heart is filled with joy for your newfound life. I wish all good things for you from here on in. You deserve it. -

It takes a few times for the filler to stick. My body was absorbing it pretty quickly at first. After several sticks it lasted longer. But I would have tears rolling out my eyes when she did it. I wasn't crying per se but my eyes were tearing up from the pain. I am so glad to not have to go through that anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

I do not have any burning. It is not supposed to burn, even though it is a chemical burn. Maybe without the aquaphor it would??? Yes, I hope that I like the results. -

Divorce after plastic surgery and/or bariatric surgery

I am going through a similar process, a spiritual journey. I did a guided meditation recently and it was extremely powerful. And I've been reading, at the suggestion of a spiritual advisor whom I have connected with very well, the book Return to Love by Marianne Williamson. There also are helpful resources on the web about self love and self awareness and self trust. In fact there is an LCSW who writes for Bariatric Pal who has some very good articles and advice (I forget her name but she works with a bariatric center). And I found a video series on YouTube by Debbie Spellman about the 7 Steps to Self Love https://www.youtube.com/user/DebbieSpellmanTV. I like that she gives you exercises to do. A few friends have highly recommended a silent retreat to get in touch with yourself. I plan to do that outdoors when the weather is warmer. I hope some of this is helpful! -

I am so very sorry that the man who loved you treated you this way. I can imagine how very much it hurt. And I am so so so very proud of you for having the courage and self respect to leave him. You are unstoppable now. Don't let anything hold you back from following your dreams. -

You may post questions to plastic surgeons on RealSelf. That may be helpful. And ask ask ask patients whom have had work done already... especially message them privately where they are likely to be more open than on a public forum. -
After 2-mos hiatus from the gym my endurance is zero and my legs hurt. Advice, please!
My Bariatric Life posted a topic in Fitness & Exercise
I took a hiatus from my workouts for about 2-mos owing to extensive travel and work schedules. LAME, LAME, LAME excuses I KNOW!!! Now that I have retuned to the gym, I find that I have zero endurance and stamina, as well as my legs hurt when I do one lap on the indoor track. This is worse than when I began my workouts a year ago, so not all of what I am experiencing can be attributed to the two month hiatus. I am looking for any recommendations for increasing my endurance and stamina so that I can get through a meaningful workout. I understand that I have to work back up to the level I was at, but I need some immediate help to get me there. Is there some supplement regimen or anything else that I should follow (amino acids, hydration, Protein loading, carb loading, etc)? Note that I have celiac disease and lactose intolerance. I also need a solution for the leg pain. I was able to run a 5k and now even one lap and my legs hurt. Thanks so very much for your advice! I truly appreciate it!!! -

Dominican Republic Duran Doll????
My Bariatric Life replied to Krystal0528's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Just be very careful going to a surgeon overseas. Also I am not sure if Duran does the skin removal that post massive weight loss women need. As far as I know she does heavy lipo of the abdomen and then augments your hips and butt with it. Lipo will not tighten excess skin. It will just deflate it more. -
