  1. This is information that my Dr did not do well at telling me what to expect. The constipation was excruciating! I think this occurred about 4 days after surgery. Thank God for meds. I just went to CVS and got the normal stuff, magnesium, but also got Fiber Well Gummies. It goes back to normal, but you have to stay on top of it. Do not worry about the color in the first couple of movements. This color will go away. All is good now, so hang in there.
  2. Not sure what you are eating that you think will stretch your sleeve? I was sleeved on Sept 19th and am doing great. Yes, I miss real food and am trying to slowly introduce real food. Have you been on Pinterest? There are many great recipes on there for Gastric Sleeve. Try things that are good for you until you find something you like and that is good for you. I used to love watching the food channel and reading cookbooks. DO NOT DO THIS! It is too hard now. Keep the faith and keep working what you have been taught and get sugar free Popsicles. They are great and I eat 8 a day at least. Really curbs my appetite. Good luck. I wish you the best! Attaching a great Cookbook you should try.
  3. Prior to my sleeve surgery, I just about lived off carbs and especially sugar. Most likely one of the reasons I became so heavy. After surgery, I really am not fond of sugar much at all. I consider this a blessing! Prior to surgery, I drank Pure Protein chocolate shakes and loved them. It is a great way to get 30 grams of protein. Now I can barely stand the taste of them. I used to use Crystal Light as I hate Water and this helped a lot. Now, I can hardly stand the sickening sweet taste. Really hard for me to get all my water in. Thank God for sugar free popsicles! I just wonder if anyone else has experienced this? Good luck to you all!
  4. Hi everyone. I hope all are doing well. I was sleeved ion Sept 19th. I have lost 35 lbs. I have begun trying to eat some real food, but it is a bit trying. But, I am doing really great. Started having some GERD issues. Trying to not eat so close to bed and not laying down for at least an hour after I eat. Always here to help in anyway I can. Good luck to all!

    Who Are You?

Stick to the diet plan as much as you can because it is very important that your liver shrinks enough so they can get to the stomach. You can do it and Thank You for your service. I am a Vietnam Vet.

    Who Are You?

My name is Gordon. I work and live in Las Vegas. I may be one of the few men on here, so I guess I will offer a different perspective. I am 64 and have had an incredible life thus far. I have had so many careers: Opera Singer, One of the Founders for a chain of Indoor Soccer Arenas, Real Estate Agent and currently just inducted into the Private Events Hall of Fame. Mostly do weddings! I love making couples happy on their special day. I have really bad arthritis and have been very overweight for the past 10 years. I climbed to 320 and decidedly that with my high blood pressure and so much abdominal weight that leads to heart trouble that I would have the Gastric Sleeve. I did just that on Sept 19th with Dr Umbach in Vegas. He and the Blossom Bariatric Clinic are just terrific. I have lost about 35 lbs since my surgery check in weight of 301. Today I weigh 275 lab and am really happy. Trying to learn to eat real food now and it has been a bit difficult. So glad I found this website. Good luck to all of you.
