Had a rough day yesterday. As most of you know I recently had cervical spinal fusion via my throat. It has been very hard to eat or drink for 2.5 weeks now. Apparently my heart rate has been very low and I let myself get dehydrated. Well, I stood up yesterday took a step and woke up on the floor. Not a good thing for someone in a neckbrace with 3 new fusions. Ugh! Spent the day in the er getting fluids. Now they want me to see a cardiologist because of my unexplained low heart rate and over 51 age. My heart rate did not improve even after I was rehydrated. Luckily I was wearing my brace and other than being sore, I feel a little better today. I am thankful that I did not really cause a huge problem. Moral of the story, don't let yourself get dehydrated no matter what! And how did your Saturday go!

Hi Peach. I read so much about this surgery and was expecting the swallow issues to be much worse but it really does suck, at least I am not one of those people who actually had to have a feeding tube put in. I am so sorry that his symptoms are coming back. So far all of the pain and tingling in my right are is gone and some improvement in my left arm. I am hoping it rids me of the horrible neck pain and headaches improve as well. Already the headaches are a bit better so keeping my fingers crossed. I will say a prayer for your husband. Having spine issues is not fun. This was my 5th spine surgery in 14 years.
