Does anyone have a FREE atkins or similar website, to help me get started. I need some help. I know what protien is but I need something to help me with counting carbs. Thanks

let me know how it goes for you... I think if I decide how I want to live I can do it. But my diet for the last 6 months since the band has been hit and miss on what I should and shouldnt' eat. I now need to get a plan. My weight loss has slowed down and I am wondering if I pay closer attention to my carbs if that will help change the scale.

I am 6 months out and I still find myself going more towards the liquids. I am eatting a lot of soups and things such as that.... I do eat solids yet I seem to enjoy drinking my meals more then eating them. I think it is because I can have more of the liquid then the solids... So does anyone else find themselves doing this?

I have a few tricks I like to use to help keep me in check. -use a baby spoon when eatting. It helps you eat smaller portions. also using a childs plate helps the visual effect. -having a goal in plain view every morning. I use a pic of when I thought I looked good. (I am going to look better someday.) -buying pants a size smaller then you are currently wearing. And wearing them around the house. It makes you uncomfortible enough to keep on going. -setting a timer when you, eat making sure you eat slowly enough. If you have time left over you go to "timeout" lol What are some of the fun things you do to keep yourself in check?

So you have 5.5cc in your band? Right. We were banded a week apart. I was having the same result a month ago. I called the doctor and he got me in again to put more in. The scary thing is you never seem to feel full and you over eat. So the scale does not move or your weight goes up. Then you hunger is leadint you down the wrong path again. Good luck

I been reading a lot of threads and BMI is the big determining factor in a lot of peoples idea weight. Is there anything elso out there that we should take into concideration when picking a number. I feel as though I am picking a number and hoping I look good when I get there. I see that there are a big number of people that pick 150 as their target. I think that is a wonderful goal. I was that at 14, can I expect to get below that at 30? I want to go less then 150 but my adult weight has never been less then 190 and I am getting close to that... Any wisdom?

Children? I have one beautiful child and thought I was done. I am not currently preg. but my husband has expressed interest in having another one in a year or so!? Does anyone have any experience being banded and pregant? Also would you do it again?

I am glad I had it done most of the time. I had my gulblater out about a month after I had it done. I gained 12 lbs because I had to eat more to help me heal after surgery. I took that to an extreme. But as of this morning I am down 57lbs and have about 53 to go. What kind of rate do you think we can look for when losing lbs now?

Take a pic of yourself. Then cut out a pic of someone you want to look like. Put them both on the frig. No food tastes as good as skinny looks:biggrin1: -
