I was banded in May, I am down 65+lbs. Now that is super cold here I am not walking. I have not done any working out for 3 months to be very honest. I am very bad I know. So my dh got us a gym membership today. It is a place that is a kind of " do your own thing". We are in a small town so there are no real trainers. I want to to and burn fat. I want to do something that will get me somewhere. What do I do and where should I start?

Things People Pass Off For Compliments and Things Skinny People Say That Piss You Off

I am sorry to say this about your momma, but what a brat!!! The scarey thing for most people is that they don't like change. We are only changing our bodies not our personalities!! She can get lost in the woods!!!! And eat bugs for a while. -
both breasts, I need to take the time to see the doc. It is just crazy at work

You are a great strength to me!! I have waivered with working out. I have never ran, but have always wanted to. Nothing is stopping me but me!! Thanks

:bounce:I love LBT like a fat kid loves cake!!! I have needed something like this!! Thanks for all of the great info and laughs. -
I have a 10cc band and I think I am at the "sweetspot". I have 4 1/2 cc in my band. I can eat some food, but I am unable to over eat. I am loosing at a normal rate (for me). You have to keep in mind that as you loose weight you may have to have it filled more. Your band will let you know. We all learn so much about our bodies in this process it is amazing. Good luck

I have had anxiety problems in the past. I have not had meds but I see where I may need them now. It would be very helpful to me if you could let me know if/and how you do with or with out them. I am having a hard time dealing with things since the band. So it would be wonderful to have someone else who understands.

I gained 5 pounds in 7 days. I am so happy for this experience. I just gave up over the holidays. Now I know if I don't play the leading role in partnership with my band it does not work. So the lesson learned is even if I have lost over 60+ pounds does not mean they won't come back!! So becareful and love yourself enough. I don't think the food is the problem with me. It is my complete unhappiness with myself at times. That is what undoes all my hard work. Can we shut off that little voice telling us we are not worth it. I need a mute button!!!!:rolleyes I can do it. I just need to remember that. So use my mistake as a learning tool. Because I have too.

I gained the weight by eating sugars. I don't eat much of anything that has a lot of carbs in it. But the last week I went crazy. I have seen a counslor and he said I have a problem with anxiety. So I have to keep busy

I am trying to find a tread just for 10 cc bandsters... I was asked when I was banded in May 07 if I minded being given a 10cc band. I was told at the time that it was suppose to help you lose weight a little faster. I am wondering what the difference is and why they up from 4cc? My doc is 2 1/2 hours away that did the surgery. But their is a new guy in town who just started doing them. He is great guy and has really done pretty well doing my fills. But it seems he does not have a lot of experience with the after care. Just the fills and surgery. I have been telling him things he didn't seem to know/remember. Things as simple as not eating after fill(only liquids). That scares me a little that he didn't know that. SO that is why I am asking about the 10cc band. I hope to get some real answers. I was 5'6 and 260 when I started so I was not a giant but I was big. I guess I don't know why they used that size of band on me. Any ideas? 4cc in a 10cc band.

I had all my preop stuff done down here in Blue Earth. The woman that did all the testing had the bipass done. She was really good to talk to. I think they really have to look hard to make sure you are ready. I know I wasn't mine happened way too fast. I started the preop in march 07 and had the band on may 19, 07. It really helped me to have someone on my side that had a weight problem and was in favor of it. Good luck

Thanks, it is interesting to see all the differences in bands. We can almost see the progress within the treads here.

Lapband Lifestyle - We are here to help you in your changing life! read that and see if that helps you with your struggles. Dad and everyone should read it. Let me know what you think. -
Does Anyone Have A 10cc Band? I Have One And Am Having A Pretty Good Time With It. I Would Like To Hear From Someone Esle That Has One.

Hi everyone; I love my band!!!! It was really easy to loose the first 3 months. Now I really have to work at it. I am down 65 lbs. I hope to be close to my goal by July. How far is everyone from their goal? Has it been hard for you to lose after 6 months? I have noticed a change in it. How has your family coped with the change?

Has anyone found the time of day you eat makes a differnce. I try not to eat past 7pm. I am having b/f at about 7:30.... What do you do?

Anyone afraid that they are ugly thin?
mandyjo replied to KarenG.'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am 30 years old and have lost 65 lbs so far. The black circles under my eyes have really come up. My face has always been my saving grace. I was never ugly, but now I feel old for my age. Now on the other hand I (we) may suffer from what I call "the fat girl idea". We do not see ourselves the way others see us. I went from a size 24 to a 12/14 mostly 14 right now. But soon I will be in a 12. That is new for me I have not been a size 12 since I was 15. Do we really know what we will look like? Just think better!!!!!! Because our worst enemy is ourselves. -
I know this isn't a nice topic but backfat is my problem. I knew I would have extra skin in my tummy, but my back is aweful. I look good from the front so far. Yet my back seems to not be loosing the fat the way the rest of my body is.... I think this is really ugly. I wish I had an idea about what to do about it. I have lost 65lbs and @195 so I want to lose at least another 40-50lbs. I am wondering if that will get better when I lose the rest of my weight? Is there a way to tone your back?

:hungry:We were all told to eat protien. I feel sometimes that is all I eat. So I got made for a week and eat all carbs. I am not back on track. Sometimes I feel I am using a form of the south beach/atkins diets? Do you feel the same way at all? Does anyone test their ketosis leaves?
-
Does anyone check their ketones? I am thinking about starting to do this. I am a carb junky and I need to get my protien in... I think this might be a good way to flip the switch and start eatting the way the band was meant for ME. I am open to any opinions. Also I would like to hear from anyone who is doing this.
-
I am glad I started this tread. I have got a lot of interesting comments. I think that we all need to get our protien in. Yet we have the advantage of being able to control how much we eat. We still need to know how many carbs, calories, fat grams, and sodium we put into our bodies. I think having as much info we can is our best bet for great results. We are all in the same stuggle, but our fight is as individual as we are. I know what I should do. I hope we are all learning and growing (smaller) in our process.

so this is not a bad thing to do? It sounds like it might be something that people that are banded do?
