  1. It's becoming a problem now. This week was the worst. I'm getting lots of "what's your secret? " and "you've lost soooooo much weight" .... I swear it's like 15 or 20 people that have said something. I've only lost 30 pounds and it shouldn't be this obvious. I really am having a difficult time responding. Also didn't expect to be this uncomfortable to be asked these questions. I have been very skinny before and so I thought this would be no big deal for me but all these questions about my weight is really uncomfortable for me. Maybe because I haven't disclosed. Even if I wanted to disclose I kind of feel like it is all out of control now.

    When did loss get noticed

I went back to work at 4 weeks and someone pulled me aside and asked if I had liposuction. Then about a week later someone at work told me my boobies look smaller. I could have done without those comments.... I've had people ask me how I'm losing weight but I think it has to do with the fact that they hadn't seen me in a month. I'm almost 10 weeks and have lost 30 almost 35 pounds. It doesn't feel drastic but I can see it in my face and I assume others are concerned about my health and wondering if that's why I've lost weight.

    Info

I'm 9 weeks post op and I'm still in a fog of depression that I have to fight. I seem to want to be alone a lot more than usual.

    Bread

I've had small bites here and there. I generally try to avoid it. I've had no issues with what I have eaten.
  5. I weight every day but either my house is not level or my scale is broken but depending on where I put the scale it can vary. So I only really count the scale at the doctor's office.

    Getting rid of addictions

I can't speak for cigarettes but my addictions have been shopping and then when I was broke eating. food has been a friend and has been there through both good and bad times. I couldn't give it up. Having the sleeve has made it extremely easy for me. I am not hungry and not craving anything which allows me to control my habits of blindly going to the refrigerator or eating when I am bored. Since there are constraints on when and how I eat I am making conscious decisions. I will say that I noticed that I am spending more money but I have myself on a no clothing ban until I get to a more steady weight. I'm looking to exercise to do instead of shopping. Good luck!
  7. Elode is right we 10,000 of Biotin and it will not stop the hair loss it helps with hair growth. Plus some hair loss and brittleness could be lack of Protein. Hair is made up of protein so you've got to get yours in. Also it sounds like you are not getting enough calories and your body could be in starvation mode and holding on to all the calories for dear life. I've noticed that if I up my calories it will break my stalls. And remember you can't compare pounds to pounds every body is different you can only compare percent of excess body weight. Good luck. I'm sure your frustrations are only temporary.
  8. Great job! I too avoided donuts yesterday. I bought 2 dozen for the people at work and didn't have 1/2 nor did I get my favorite ham & cheese croissant from the donut shop. They are my favorite.
  9. And I am going to relax on the tracking what I'm eating. I want to focus on healthy eating and not obsess about food. I got the go ahead to see if my sleeve can handle a salad so if I can I'm pretty sure that will be majority of my meals.
  10. No prescription. She told me to switch to 2 prenatal vitamins per day. I had trouble swallowing those when I was pregnant. So the hunt is on for prenatals that are chewable.
  11. Thanks for the responses. I talked to the Nut and she said don't focus on the tracking. She has given me other goals. My Iron is low and I have yet to get the minimum amount of liquids in per day so she has me focusing on those 2 things now.
  12. I'm 7 weeks post op and need some advice. I have been tracking my food prior to surgery and continuously thereafter. My struggle is that I serve myself a portion of food but I don't want to eat the whole portion. I find myself trying to finish it so that I will know how much food and Protein that I've eaten. I don't like forcing myself to eat. I don't want it to become a bad habit but I don't know how to keep track of my food. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  13. @@Lallylocks you look great! How brave of you. You are inspiring me to consider cutting my hair. I haven't noticed any more of it falling out than usual but I know it's coming.

    Bad habit

@@sophie'sChoice. .... thanks for checking on me. So far so good. I am able to distract myself. It's not too bad because I am not hungry but I do find myself walking to the fridge out of habit. I just close it and walk away. I do fear what will happen when I get cravings again.
  15. I accidentally skipped ahead and I called my nut and she said if I felt okay then it was fine but I went back to the plan. In your case I would say go back to liquids or puree. I just want my stomach to heal. I'm sure you do too, good luck!
