    Clear Liquid Pre op Diet

Made it through my first day. I found Miso soup at Trader Joes and I used broth, Jello, and Water. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. 1 more day. Thanks for the advice!

    Holiday Challenge!

I'm having surgery on the 30th. Can I participate or should I be further out post surgery?
  3. Your body probably has nothing to poop if you have been on liquids. They are putting me on clear liquids before surgery to make sure there is nothing in my stomach.

    Clear Liquid Pre op Diet

Thanks guys! I thought the no Protein was strange, too. I think we have to do it because they don't want us to have any "waste" in our system on the day of surgery plus we will be hydrated. I hope I can do it. This will be a test of my strength.

    Increased cravings... Smh

I'm having the same problem. I haven't had more than 1 soda a month in years. I really don't like it except during my cycle and I usually don't drink it then. As soon as they told me no more soda I have had one almost everyday. Crazy!
  6. Good luck! My date is October 30 too. I met with the Dr on Sept. 11. I could have had surgery sooner but I needed to coordinate my time off work. I didn't expect it to happen this fast. I thought it would be next year before I got a date. Boy was I wrong.
  7. I totally feel the same way. Especially the you're not that big part. I stopped telling people that I was considering the surgery. My date is the 30th and only 3 people know. I figure that I can always tell them later. I'm looking at it like preventative care. I don't want to wait until I'm very sick and wishing I had done it sooner. I realize that others may not understand but I need to be healthy for me.
  8. I currently have a Vitamix. I started the beginning of this year making green smoothies. I started with a Ninja. It was great! After a few months, I upgraded to a Vitamix and I love it. It's a huge investment. Ninja's are great and I've heard really good things about the Nutribullet too. You should be more than good with it.
  9. I have been wondering what to say too. My work knows I'm having surgery because I was told to expect 6 weeks off. I applied for FMLA and will be applying for disability but my job does not know what type of surgery. Someone did ask and I said I'm not ready to discuss and it's preventative. They assumed I am having a hysterectomy. I didn't correct them. I don't know what I am going to say when I go back to work.
