KalelsWifey replied to AshBanks's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Since being home its been a bit more difficult. The pain is ridiculous. But i cannot take the oxycodone bc it makes me violently ill which doesn't feel good in the incision with the staples. I kust wish thesr next two to three weeks will fly bc right now i believe im in regretting phase. .. -
Your lucky. I may have to go to the hospital for fluids too. This i hope all passes quickly. Im struggling to see why i did this...

@lisanewme67, Thank you so much! What a roller coaster of emotions going thru the program, day of surgery and all the days to come! I've done so well apparently that I am going home today, they said it is not typical for a bypass patient to leave after one day, but I've achieved What I needed to do. My biggest suggestion once you've had your procesdure is truly no matter how icky you feel, WALK, WALK, WALK!!! I feel incredible after walking. Also, the carnation instant breakfast taste absolutely amazing fist chocolate then strawberry. Thank you for adding me as a friend, I definitely would love to keep in touch and motivate each other!! @, Gas doesn't come out as some huge raunchy fart...lol. It will pass slowly and quietly. You may burp more frequently.. Do not push the gas out as it can strain and cause you a whole new level of discomfort. I've liked drinking. The decaf tea and coffee. I just had my surgery yesterday so I understand and empathize completely.

Reading your post reminds me of me! I had the gastric bypass this morning. I chosen to do so for my kids and the fact that I too have PCOS and Pseudo Tumor Cerebri which came about when I was pregnant. I also get ridiculous migraines... I'm praying and have prayed that these symptoms will all subside as I continue this process. I was ensured that going thru a wt loss program and selecting one of the surgeries I would then not need to be concerned with the above listed symptoms that in most cases they go away. Do you know when your scheduled? I hope to hear from you. GB and good night.

Thank you, I've been here all day. Sleeping most of the day, walking in between and drinking as much as possible. Just wish I didn't have the gas pain right now.

Sleeping on your side right after surgery?
KalelsWifey replied to MissLiss's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am 12 hours out and feel incredible amounts of gas pressure. I've walked numerous times and voided... I am not sure if Ik I'm the pain bc I was laying too flat on my back and causing pressure pain the the incision sites... I didn't want to take much for pain meds, but when I received the morphine it definitely helped but I think it's just masking the pain and i'll feel it juat as much again once it ia out of my system -

@sweetjes602, thank you! I'm doing my best... it's a very 'real' feeling when you know you can't mess up your eating otherwise they'll reschedule surgery!! I wish you a lot of luck and hope these next few weeks go by quickly for you! We can certainly keep I'm touch... I'm a couple weeks ahead but the end result we want is the same... help each other along?! -Jessica-
