    Boiled Peanuts

I LOVE boiled peanuts and I made them in my crockpot a lot before surgery! I could have them now but it's a crazy amount of salt!

    Question... In pain.

@@Rochellevsg trust your instincts! Your surgeon is going by what you told him not an examination so if you are in that much pain go get checked out to be safe! Just becaus you don't see anything on the outside it doesn't mean there's not something happening on the inside.

    Alcohol?

I myself rarely drink maybe 2 in 8 months. Not because it bothers me but because I like girly drinks and they are FULL of stinking sugar!

  14. @@Monnie815 That's all going to depend on what your pre-op diet is? They are all so different. I was only allowed protein shakes, SF jello and pudding, and some low sodium broth so I didn't need any recipes for that lol!! @@Monnie815 That's all going to depend on what your pre-op diet is? Caffeine

I drink coffee daily...now. I didn't start until 6 months. Give yourself time to heal if you aren't. It hasn't hurt me yet. Just don't add a bunch of sugar to it or anything. But you already know that
  16. @@prbaby28 No problem! That's what I do..tell people what to do ha! Good luck! Just take it one day at a time

    So I've noticed...

    @@LipstickLady Hey girl..heyyyyyy!
  18. Well unless you dunk a bunch but I could only drink a few medicine cups at a time and not much else so my surgeon was ok with it.
  19. @@prbaby28 oh no you have to watch the cocnut water you get. I got this its Coconut O.N.E. Brand they sell at Walmart. It doesn't have that much sugar.
  20. As far as water I have always had an issue with it plain. I switched to coconut water in the first few weeks because it's a super hydrator even more so than water with potassium. Just straight coconut water in the container NO sugar added! That was Easy for me and the first few DAYS after surgery I drank the isopure liquid ready made drinks, not the best tasting stuff but 30 grams of protein per bottle and clear liquid.
  21. Back around 5 weeks out I was eating retried beans With avocado and sour cream, salsa & cheese. Ricotta cheese bake, crab cakes (without bread crumbs just the crabmeat, miracle whip, mustard, parsley and egg mixed with some O bay seasoning and cooked. Things like that. No not retried! Refried. Lol!
  22. I'm 8 months post -op with good restriction but I can eat pretty much whatever I like. Sometimes chicken and tough meats are a little hard on me so for awhile I was pretty much doing vegetarian. Sometimes I juice, it really just depends on what I feel like for that day. I still do protein shakes regularly to get my protein in! I have a strawberry mousse Syntrax one in the freezer right now getting cold. I love my shakes. They are easier on my stomach.
  23. The ready made premier protein are already made so I don't make them but when I add the Syntrax to it I then add a cup of water because if not it would be too sweet.
